Beautiful Pond
It was a beautiful pond used for bathing. Perfectly builded using Rocks and Bricks. Cavings amazing. There is some Ruins of old Clothes changing room still available near the pond.
Near the Council Chamber are the Royal Baths. A square superimposed on a cross gives the royal swimming pool a unique look. What is striking is the architecture.
Perhaps not as grand as the twin Royal Ponds in Anuradhapura but still worth a look down a flight of steps from the Kings Chambers. Yes it may be old an dirty, but just marvel at how it must have bee...

Good
Polonnaruwa is all about immersing yourself in the cultural and religious beauty of the past. Kumara Pokuna is a good example.

The Royal bath
The royal baths are one of the sites to see when you are visiting Polonnaruwa, still in very good condition.
