Lovely Promenade
Long pebble beach with great promenade. Some of it is closed due to work being done on new flood defences. Can't wait till that stretch is open as it looks lovely. They were planting up the flowers be...
Nice clean beach , mix of stone and sand. Dog friendly on whole beach when we visited in October . Nice pier and park adjacent to beach. Great for a day out with family.
Great place lots to do ..lovely promanard..lots of eating places also DDay museum just a lovely place to walk and have family time ..and can easily pop over to the isle of wight on the hovercraft
If you walk from the Portsmouth area, first go out from the vicinity of Gunwarf shopping center to the Old Portsmouth area and walk along the promenade along the sea, and amusement facilities with a hovercraft platform Route aiming for setting. There is a small pebble beach and even people who don't have time can enjoy the beach a little. Recommended is to walk along the promenade aiming at the South parade pier from there, and it is quite vast pebbles & sand ...

Beach
The sea off of the beach is unfit to swim or paddle in. Signs are in place. This is due to raw sewage being discharged into it regularly.
