The Monastery of St. Francis is just one road from the sea, and since there are no tall buildings near the promenade, the high bell tower of the monastery can be seen from the pier. Leaving the Republic Square, opposite the fountain is the main entrance of the monastery. Pushing open the gate, the interior of the church is very dark and very quiet.
