Tianmen Mountain is the highest mountain in Yongding District of Zhangjiajie. It is 8 kilometers north of the city. It is named for Tianmen Cave, a natural wonder. It was first recorded in history. The main peak is 1518.6 meters. It was approved as National Forest Park in July 1992. Formed so far rare world wonders - Tianmen Cave, Tianmen Cave across North and south, 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide, 60 meters deep, like a gateway to the sky, since then named Tianmen Mountain, has a history of 1754 years.
