It's a small shrine.

About 4~5 minutes walk from Keihan Uji Station, and if you go to Kyoto on National Highway 7, you will find it facing the sidewalk. There is no shrine and there is a small shrine to some extent. There was no explanation such as history.
A shrine in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture. It is located along Prefectural Road No. 7, just off the bus rotary of Keihan Uji Station. There was a company name sign along with a stone monument engraved with the "Shiimoto no Kosaku" that appears in the Tale of Genji, and there was a torii gate and a small shrine on the stone steps of about 6 steps. It is said that the Kanata Shrine is read as "Ochikata Jinja". It is presumed that the meaning of the direction in which the Uji River flows down, or the place where the Uji River suddenly flows faster, may be a shrine related to the faith in water.
