Really nice lake. It is sad that the water level is so low, but the low water levels have exposed some cool little islands you can check out along with small caves and cliffs.
We traveled to Big Bend NP so on the way camped overnight at Amistad NRC. It was a bit windy at times, with out notice it comes up. Nice sites with picnic tables and latrines close by.
A nice place to camp in IF you go to the right area! It appears the tide went out here a while ago as people have been draining the Rio Grande for irrigation much more than has been coming in from rai...
