Anding Gate

The Anding Gate is located south of the central part of the west wall. It was originally the "Shunyi Gate" in the west of the Chang'an Emperor City of Sui and Tang Dynasty. It was retained when the Han built and rebuilt the new city in the end of Tang Dynasty. Ming Hongwu was expanded from seven to eleven years (1374 to 1378), and the gate was used as the west gate, and the name was changed to "Anding Gate". Today, Anding Gate Cunyu City, Arrow Tower, Main Building and Duomen Cave. Another three coupon holes are opened on both sides of the gate for pedestrians to pass by. Anding Gate is the main west gate of Xi'an City Wall.
