After liberation, the Qing Dynasty building Dacheng Hall survived, and because of its large historical, artistic and scientific value, it was announced by the People's Government of Henan Province as a provincial cultural relics protection unit in June 1963. Zhengzhou Confucian Temple, once the oldest, most extensive and largest ancient building complex in Zhengzhou, according to the "Zhengzhou Zhi" written by the Ming Dynasty, Zhengzhou Confucian Temple was founded in the Yongping years of the Ming Emperor in the East Han Dynasty, and is the second oldest Confucian Temple in the country after Qufu Confucius Temple. The Zhengzhou Confucian Temple in the early Yuan Dynasty covers an area of 37 mu, consisting of the front yard, the middle yard and the backyard. The front yard has the star gate, the Dianchi Lake, and the anus. The central courtyard of the Confucian Temple has Dacheng Palace and the east and west corridors. The backyard has Minglun Hall, Jingting, and Zunjing Pavilion. In addition, there are land, Qisheng, Xiangxianxuan, Jinsheng Yuzhenfang, Jurenmen, Yourenmen, Sacrifice Warehouse, Musical Instrument Warehouse, Shenchu, Yude Cang, Yicang, Shooting Hall, slaughter hall, Jindezhai, Xiuyezhai, Cunchengzhai, etc. A fire later caused great damage to the temple building. Yuan Shundi to the Zheng six years (1346), the official office in the original style reconstruction, Ming and Qing generations also rebuilt many times, but Qing Guangxu 22 years (1896) the temple was again fire, the building was destroyed. Although the temple was restored later, the scale was far lower than before, and later only two ancient buildings and several small vans were left in Dacheng Palace and Anus.

Zhengzhou Confucian Temple has a long history, it is the largest scale, the area is also a large ancient building complex, built in the East Han Dynasty Mingdi, is the second oldest ancient temple after Qufu Confucius Temple in the country, it is beautiful scenery, arrow bamboo special, it is worth visiting.
