小菜旅途故事:“Khuvsgul Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Mongolia. It is located in the northwest of Mongolia. The north of the lake is close to Russia and is less than 20 kilometers away from the Russian-Mongolian border.
Khuvsgul Lake is also known as the sister lake of Lake Baikal. It is an upstream lake of Lake Baikal. The water of Khuvsgul Lake flows into the Selenga River and finally into Lake Baikal through the only outflowing river, the Eg River.
The lake area has mammals including wild goats, cattle, reindeer, musk deer, and moose. There are also different ethnic groups including the Khalkha and Burat living in the forest mountains near the lake.”
