juki235:“This is a very unique geological landscape, a large area of white sandstone surrounded by red sand dunes. In these sand dunes, there are often dead camel thorn trees. These trees have been dead for more than 500 years, and some are even 1,000 years old. It is incredible that they can still stand here. This is all thanks to the dry climate here, which creates such a magical landscape.”

想飞的鱼0627:“Namibia's Death Valley is located in a white depression in Sossusvlei. There is no grass growing in it and no signs of life, hence the name. Death Valley was not always so dead. More than 900 years ago, there were rivers and lush vegetation here. Unfortunately, something happened later, and sand dunes moved here, blocking the river. In addition, due to climate change and no rainfall for many years, the trees and grass here quickly died.”
