jb2***14:“I drove more than 500 kilometers to see the glowing worms. The cave itself is not big, but it is well protected. The small group was led in by a guide, who turned on the lights for a while. He gave a detailed introduction to the causes, recent events such as floods, flooded water levels, and newly washed out marine fossils. They are similar to the ancient South China region, so the geology is similar. The thinnest growing rock columns are estimated to be only 3-5mm, but the length is more than 1m to 2m. He also explained that Tasmania has stable geology and few and small earthquakes. I saw cave spiders. Photography of glowing worms is not allowed. Although I can use a SLR long exposure without flash, he still does not allow it. I guess this is a commercial protection.”
