At noon every day, many tourists gather in front of the bell tower to watch it tell time. When the bell rings, the lifelike statues begin to move slowly. The figure sculptures on the bell tower are all covered with gold foil. Visitors can climb the bell tower to see the mechanical principle of the entire clock.”

路中寒梅:“From the Milazzo Pier, you can see the castle on the hill. The castle is the highest point in the city. Even though it was closed, we decided to go up to see it. As expected, we looked at the blue sea and the orange-red roofs at the bottom of the mountain from the top of the mountain. It was very beautiful. There are many cacti around the castle with yellow flowers, which are very beautiful. It's a pity that I couldn't go in to visit, so I could only walk along the wall. In fact, many people who come to Milazzo want to travel to the opposite island (Vulcano Island) or join a volcano tour group (led by some professionals to see the active volcano, both during the day and at night). Vulcano Island opposite is almost full in the summer vacation and it is difficult to find accommodation. It is also a good choice to stay in Milazzo and take a speedboat for more than an hour to play for a whole day. It is also the best location to see the famous big rocks on the seashore of Lipari Island from Vulcano Island. Just pay attention to the weather and time. If there is a strong wind, the boat will stop at any time. The picture below shows the view of Milazzo Castle and Vulcano Island. It is highly recommended to visit Vulcano Island for at least one day. The volcano on Vulcano Island is only smoking, and it only takes about 30 minutes to get there from the Vulcano pier.”
