Boobaby:“Wat Chang Lom is an important historical site located in Si Satchanalai Historical Park. It has a Sri Lankan-style pagoda on a square base surrounded by 39 full-body stucco elephants, which is the origin of its name. There are 39 elephants surrounding the base on all four sides, representing the 37 Bodhipakkhiyadhamma, which are the dhammas that symbolize enlightenment, along with the two liberations. It is located inside the city walls almost in the middle of Si Satchanalai city, on the plains at the foot of Khao Phanom Phloeng to the south, in the same direction as Wat Chedi Chet Thaeo.
Scholars assume that Wat Chang Lom is likely the same temple as the one mentioned in the first stone inscription, which states that in 1829, King Ramkhamhaeng ordered the excavation of the relics for worship and buried them in the middle of Si Satchanalai city before building a pagoda over them.
An important historical site is the Sri Lankan-style principal pagoda located inside a square wall with 56 gates in each direction. The front and back gates are the entrances and exits, built as a laterite wall with beautiful levels at the gates. For the side doors, they are built with laterite bricks and closed as a solid door.
The large Sri Lankan-style main pagoda is situated on a square base with multiple layers. There is a walkway that is a staircase leading to the upper floor. Around the pagoda, there are full-body stucco elephants decorating the base on all 4 sides, 9 on each side (except one side which is a staircase with only 8 elephants). At the corners, there are 4 more large elephants, totaling 39 elephants. The large elephants at the corners of the pagoda are decorated with stucco designs on their necks and legs, more beautiful than the elephants on the square base. Between the stucco elephants at the base, there are laterite lamp posts at intervals. In front of each elephant, there are stucco lotus buds.
Today, most of the stucco elephants have decayed, leaving only a few elephant heads, but they still fully display the beauty of Sukhothai-era sculpture. The stucco elephants at Wat Chang Lom in Si Satchanalai Historical Park have a distinctive feature compared to the stucco elephants at other temples: they stand fully apart from the walls and are as tall as or larger than real elephants.
In front of the main pagoda, there are two levels of stairs leading up to the front yard of the pagoda. Above the circumambulation base, there are 20 niches of seated Buddha images in the Mara-Vijaya posture. Most of them have almost completely decayed, with only a few remaining intact. Above the bell-shaped area,”

แสงไฟในเศษฟืน:“Wat Phra Borommathat Tung Yang is an ancient temple for hundreds of years. Driving from the road and looking into the church, you will see a large golden Buddha statue through the temple gate, which looks very beautiful. I have come to pay homage and make merit here many times. It is very sacred. The temple here is not a commercial Buddhist. The back is a very beautiful pagoda. I would like you to come and visit.”
