M52***83:“The site of the Gug Dynasty, a mysterious corner of history. It is located on a soil mountain on the banks of the Xiangquan River in the village of Libujan, Ali Zanda County, Tibet. It is more than a thousand years ago, on this desolate and remote Ali plateau suddenly appeared and mysteriously disappeared more than 300 years ago. More than 300 houses, three pagodas, four temples, two temples and two underground tunnels leading to the palace have been continuously excavated around the site of the Guge Dynasty. The site is divided into upper, middle and lower floors, followed by the palace, temples and houses. There are city walls on the periphery and a tower in the four corners.”

Lets-go-Trekking:“If you haven't seen the karst landscape, it is still very worth seeing. You can find a place to park and go for a walk first. Xiayigou and Majuan Observation Deck can go, which is more spectacular.”

M83***34:“Stepping into the ruins of the Guge Kingdom is like plunging headfirst into a whirlpool of history. Standing before the ruins, nestled in a swirling earth forest, one gazes upon densely packed caves and dilapidated yet majestic palaces and temples. Climbing the steep steps, the highland wind whips past, each step bearing the weight of time. Inside, the exquisite murals, though damaged, still offer a glimpse of past splendor. The most breathtaking moment is the view from the summit, where the crumbling walls tell the story of the dynasty's rise and fall, bringing its former prosperity to life before one's very eyes. In just half a day, it feels like traveling back a thousand years.”
Open today at 08:00-19:00 (admission ends at 19:00)
龚娟(娟子):“High historical and cultural value: It is the first Buddhist temple built in the Ali region. It was built by Prince Yixiwo of the Guge Kingdom for the Buddhist scripture translation master Rinchen Sangbu. It was built in 996 AD and has a history of more than 1,000 years.
Unique architectural style: It combines the styles of India, Nepal and Tibet. The design layout of the main building, the Jiasa Hall, is basically based on the Samye Monastery. The inner circle includes the central hall and 4 small halls, and the outer circle has 16 halls. This layout reflects the solemnity of Buddhist temples and the artistry of Tibetan architecture.
Excellent artistic value: The murals in the temple are an important manifestation of its aesthetic contribution, covering many aspects such as Buddhist classic stories and historical figures. The characters are vivid, colorful, and beautifully composed, showing the superb skills of ancient Tibetan artists.
Magnificent surrounding scenery: Toling Temple is located on the banks of the Xiangquan River. There is a row of hundreds of meters of pagoda ruins in the Xiangquan River Valley next to it. In the valley, you can also enjoy the spectacular sunrise and sunset of the Zada Earth Forest. The red walls and the earth forest complement each other, creating a unique and magnificent scenery.”

wbclawyer:“The Mummy Cave sounds quite scary. I've seen an introduction to it in a documentary. It seems that it said a brutal massacre took place here during the Guge Dynasty. There are many corpses that have been left there for many years. I guess the air nearby doesn't smell very good. You can just look at it from a distance.”

enjoyzent:“For history lovers, the ruins of the Guge Dynasty and the Piyangdongga Grottoes can satisfy all imaginations. This is what the saying "there is no Tibet without Ali" means.
The Guge Dynasty occupies an important position in the cultural and economic development of Tibetan history. The Piyangdongga Grottoes of the same period show a magnificent chapter. This site is really a very rich record.”

格格巴:“Tolin Square in Zhada County is located just east of Zhada Temple. It is one of the projects built by Shijiazhuang City in aid of Tibet and has become a landmark of Zhada County. There are tablets and plaques in the square, recording the local customs and folkways of Zhada County. There are some Tibetan restaurants and snack bars around it.”
_We***09:“Tonight's dinner is so sumptuous! We dined at a food court. There were many people eating, and the seats were tight. We waited for more than half an hour when we went there.”
札达县菌王府汤锅-湖北宜昌人:“The taste is very good, the soup is very fresh, the soup pot is very rich, there are eight kinds of wild mushrooms, and there are various vegetarian dishes and meats that can be mixed. The roasted pepper sauce is especially delicious! Not greasy, very suitable for eating during travel. The boss is very enthusiastic! Worth recommending!”
