Speed Dating in Leeds for 20s & 30s | The Lost & Found Leeds Club
May 28, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Leeds
How Speed Dating Works in Leeds
When you arrive at the Leeds venue you will be greeted by our friendly professional hosts. Once everyone has arrived and registered we will briefly explain the format of the evening. The ladies will then be asked to make their way to their allocated table. Once the ladies are seated the gentlemen will be asked to proceed to their first date.
You will have 4 minutes to chat to each date, once the 4 minutes is over we will ring a bell to indicate the time is up and for the gentlemen to move to their next date. Four minutes is long enough to see if you click with the person you are talking to and whether you would like to see them again and also short enough if you don't.
At the end of each date you have a brief few moments to make some notes on the person you have just dated. This is something to help jog your memory for the post event matching process the next day.
Half way through the event you will have an interval break so you can nip to the toilet or top up your drink. Once all the dates are over you have the opportunity to stay on at the venue to mingle freely with others. Please remember to take your dating card home with you to assist you in entering in your ticks and potential matches.
Post Event
No later than 11am the following morning our matching system will be unlocked for you to enter your ticks from the previous evening. You have all day to tick as many people as you like from the night before. We guarantee you will find someone you will want to see again, otherwise we will give you your next

We encourage skaters using the space to connect.
Please note that coaching is not included in the session.
If you prefer to practise some movements not on skates that is okay! This can be very helpful to support you to understand how your body moves before you try the same movement with skates on.
There will be background music playing. If you are working on something specific, you may wish to bring your own headphones, but please ensure you are aware of others around you.
Drinking water is available and we have a selection of hot and cold refreshments for sale.
Skate Hire
Skate hire is available from the front desk for £2 per session - you can pay by cash or card.
Spectators
Our practise sessions are intended for participants (in shoes or skates). We only have space for one spectator per participant. At busy times, spectators will need to purchase a ticket. Spectators must remain in designated seating or rest areas.
Cancellation / Reschedule
We are happy to re-arrange or refund your session, providing you let us know at least 24 hours in advance of your session time. You can email skate@rollergirlgang.co.uk or call 07479 430404.
Video Etiquette
We are happy for skaters to take progress video for their personal reflection, however we ask you keep filming to a minimum. If you wish to film for extended periods of time, consider booking the studio privately.
Getting to The Skate Sanctuary
On foot / public transport to Leeds city centre
We are located a 10 minute walk from Leeds city bus station and the Yorkshire Playhouse. Facing the playhouse, turn left and walk past Leeds City College, under the painted bridge. You will find yourself at the end of Mabgate. Walk to the other end of Mabgate, past The Hope Foundry on the left and turn right onto Skinner Lane. Turn right again onto Macaulay Street and you will see the large open gate and downward slope to Mabgate Mills on your right. The Skate Sanctuary is the first building on your left. Look for our signs on the windows and door.

Friday Night Social Roller Skate Disco Ages 17+ | Ramgarhia Sikh Sports Centre
May 30, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Leeds
Friday Night Social is our weekly wind down and provides an alcohol-free space for adults to chat and skate in Leeds.
What is a Friday Night Skate Social?
Come and skate, have a chat, meet other skaters in the community and unwind! Our skate marshalls are here to ensure everyone has a great time and skate safely.
Skate hire (including protective pads) available - please ensure you purchase an Entry + Skate hire ticket for each person requiring skates.
Hire skates are recalled at 21:45 and session end is 21:50 to allow us to clear the venue by 22:00.
I have never roller skated before - is FNS for me?
We welcome folks of all skill levels, including folks with very little or no experience. Our skate marshalls are more than happy to give you tips to get started, but are not able to provide any kind of tuition beyond this. Please come to Skate class on Sundays if you'd like a better breakdown of movements.
What size hire skates do I need?
We recommend you ask for your regular shoe size. If you try skates on and they're not right for you, we are happy to swap them. Our skate hire is available in full sizes only, from UK 3 - UK 15. You no longer need to book a specific ticket to tell us what size you require.
I have a Skate Pass, do I still need to book?
Yes, please still book your spot for FNS, and have your digital Skate Pass ready to show at check-in. Please remember that if you are not able to make it, our cancellation policy does still apply.
Can I bring my own refreshments?
Yes of course. We want to keep this skate space alcohol free, so ask you do not bring alcohol to consume on the premises, including the car park. If you bring your own water bottle, we are able to refill this for you for free. We also have a small selection of soft drinks for sale. Should you spill your drink, please let a marshall know straight away. Please make sure you are not eating and drinking while you skate, that includes chewing gum.
Can I wear my own headphones?
While we do our best to cater a wide mix of music that will suit most people, we appreciate that you may prefer your own music. It is fine to wear your own headphones, however you must be extra vigilant and fully aware of folks around you. If we feel you are not being considerate of other skaters or you miss instructions from our skate marshalls, we will ask you to remove them.
I wear inline skates, can I come?
Yup. We welcome all wheely-booted folks.
I don't identify as a girl, can I come?
Absolutely! The Skate Sanctuary was founded and is run by women, with the support of our fantastic volunteer team, to provide better access to roller skating for all genders and identities, especially marginalised folks.
What do I do if I have a problem?
Please speak to one of our skate marshall volunteers, who wear purple t-shirts. If they are unable to help you, they will find our lead skate marshall, who will do their best to assist. We have a Respect policy in place to keep everyone feeling as safe and supported as possible. In case of accidents, we always have at least one trained first aider in the room.
Can I collect my shop order from FNS?
You absolutely can, providing you have made the order with sufficient time for the team to plan this. You can contact the shop directly on +44 7479 430404 .
Will the wheel library be available?
The wheel library is no longer available at Ramgarhia. If you would like to try wheels, please head to one of the Skate Sanctuary Practice sessions

There will be a lot of practical exercises: each participant will have the option to be a "giver" and "receiver" thus resulting in a better understanding of the subject and confidence to start facilitating sessions immediately.
The training is accredited by an internationally renowned and well-respected organization of holistic medicine

ABOUT THE TEACHER - Marko Zigon
Marko Zigon has been connected to Sound since 1993. Trained in classical music (Trombone & Percussion) in 1997 he formed a band and performed more than 500 live shows - recording 2 studio albums.
Bachelor in acoustics since 2006 (Seaport noise reduction case study) he parallelly graduated at the Australian School for Audio Engineering (SAE Institute) the same year. It was around that time, he experienced Sound Therapy for the first time and immediately sensed a deep connection to it.
While working for almost 9 years as producer/musician/sound engineer in a professional studio facility he built in 2007, he deepened his relationship with silence as part of music reproduction as well as the importance of bringing silence into everyday life.
In 2009 he won the 3rd prize in a tech start-up contest pitching the “audio de-compression algorithm” project. In the next years he was developing a new design of sustainable Omnidirectional sound sculptures “Evoluta” made of steel pipes and 3D printed vinyl.
After completing more than 15 international trainings and personal tuitions by leading experts in the field: In Germany, UK, Japan, USA, Italy, Russia, France, Poland, and Nepal he developed a proper frequency assessment test in order to deliver optimal results while empowering individuals through sound.
Keeping a file with more than 950 individual sound therapy sessions, while hosting more than 360 group meditations around the globe, he personally experienced a variety of marginal treatments: from shamans in Mongolia to neuro-scientists in California and a lot in between.
Relentlessly evolving and focusing on delivering the best experience Marko has gathered so far an impressive collection of sonic tools (which include more than 140 singing bowls, 160+ tuning forks and 15 different gongs) among many other rare instruments he is sharing the passion during his regularly 60+ international trainings held in: UAE, Germany, Italy, Nepal, Bahrain, England, USA, Hong Kong and Japan. For the last 4 years he has been constantly running Sound Therapy Trainings Level 1,2 & 3.
Some references and key competences related to his practice and sound trainings:
Gongs: Certified GM training with the Grand gong master Don Conreaux (USA). Integral Gong training - cosmic gong techniques with gong scientist Jens Zygar (Germany). Gong making (hand-hammering) masterclass with sound metalsmith Ton Akkermans (Netherlands).
Singing bowls: Peter Hess sound massage training level 1-4 (personally with Peter Hess at PHI headquarter in Germany). Sound training in Nepal at the Himalayan Singing Bowl Center with “Kansa” dynasty successors (Kathmandu). Private lessons with singing bowl expert Frank Perry at his home in the UK.
Tuning forks: Private lectures with frequency mathematician Randy Masters (Santa Cruz - California), Human Tuning TF training with Dr. John Beaulieu (New York). Planetary frequency consultations with the father of planetary wavelengths - Hans Cousto (Germany).
Apart from everything related to sound his hobbies include: photography, art, reading, traveling and studying “Presence”…
In 2020 he directed “Tapu Himene” - Silence is the end game, which was awarded 1st prize for best Inspirational short movie at Florence 2020 international film awards.
REFUND POLICY
When a participant submits a training down-payment, this is viewed as an intentional commitment by the student to attend the program. If for any reason a student needs to withdraw from the training, any monies held by Sonic Temple on behalf of that student will be held as a Non-Refundable Program/Services/Goods CREDIT ONLY!
This money can be applied towards any future training, converted into private 1 on 1 sound therapy sessions, group sound meditations in some cases even sound-healing tools exchange is possible, all within 1 year from the attempt of withdrawal from the program requesting the refund.
