Whitestone Gallery Taipei is proud to present the solo exhibition "Rainbow Dance" by Japanese artist Ay-O. Ay-O's artistic career spans more than 60 years. He is one of the important figures in the post-war Japanese and international art circles. He is known for his colorful and multi-sensory artistic expressions, and is therefore known as the "Rainbow Artist". This exhibition will display nearly 50 original acrylic works and prints completed by Ay-O in different periods since the late 1950s.

The artist is known for his exquisite carving and polishing techniques and minimalist aesthetics. His works are repeatedly scraped from natural materials, with lines eroding and blending each other, and cleverly combined with paint pigments to create dynamic visual effects of color and texture, quietly moving in space. Through the interaction between works, space and people, he attempts to evoke forgotten memories and delicate emotions, deeply explore the emotions hidden in the subconscious, and reveal the deep meaning of daily life.
