|2.32km from city centreThe Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as far as they could be. On the first day of our stay ( Christmas Day) there were parties going on and we had to go up several flights of stairs to get to the breakfast buffet. Everything was a little hard to find but the food was good when available. The ample grounds were an additional attraction as were the huge trees in the spacious garden.
On Christmas Day there were lots of staff looking after the various parties.On the last day, however, ther was only one poor unfortunate waiter in attendance! He did his best but it was impossible for him to keep the buffet food items fully refreshed. He had to do this as well as clearing plates etc from tables. We thought that the lack of any other waiting staff was due to the unavailability of staff from the European Union.
The bedroom facilities needed repairs which were unattended to. In particular, the control knob of the central heating radiator had fallen off and could not be replaced. The radiator was on night and day and also made an irritating noise through most of the night.
We stayed three nights in the hotel from 24th to 27th December 2023.
IN summary, we thought that the hotel could be restored to it's original splendour but would need a substantial investment to improve its standard.
The once magnificent hotel seemed sadly neglected because of lack of investment.
Otherwise the room was satisfactory. But sleep was difficult until we got more used to the noise at night.
In summary, we thought that the hotel needed a lot of money spending on it to improve the facilities and make dure there were enough staff.

|2.77km from city centreThe hotel is very clean. In the morning, I went to the restaurant through the beautiful English garden. It felt very good. In addition to regular coffee and drinks, the breakfast was quite good. The front desk is so-so. It is about 5-6 stops by rail from the University of Sheffield. It feels a little bit remote. There is a large supermarket/parking lot nearby. From the station, pass the supermarket back to the hotel. There were some fast food a few hundred meters behind the hotel, but we did not go.

Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable.
Breakfast was great with plenty of options.
Bar food was lovely and reasonably priced.
Overall very happy with our stay.

Location was OK if the canal side bars were accessible through the rear of the lobby but it was locked so had to turn a 2min walk into a 10min walk but not the end of the world. There were hairs in the bath and some rubbish in the corner of the room but other than that, all was fine. Loved they had an iron and ironing board but the cover was a little grotty. Overall, I'd stay again.

Just walking from the train station, carrying it uphill all the way made me feel a little tired. But it is convenient to take the train downhill after checking out. When you go out of the Radisson Hotel, turn right and go straight down to the Pedestrian Street Commercial Street, which is quite lively. Directly opposite the hotel is the Peace Square with a fountain, and opposite is the beautiful City Hall building. The glass winter garden is also next to Peace Square. Among these hotels, this breakfast is the best with slightly more variety. But it's pretty much the same.

There are several Chinese restaurants in the surrounding walk for 10 minutes. |0.6km from city centreI am Benny Mok(the register name is WAI-FU MOK), spent three days there at ROOM 211 from 31/7/2022 to 2/8/2022 in summer & I found that all the facilities in the hotel were superb & I was highly satisfied. The only shortcoming was there was a long weird sound when flushing at the bathroom. There might be some problems in the toilet bowl hose.
Otherwise than that, I highly recommend this hotel cuz all the staff members at the hotel ARE SUPER FRIENDLY, welcoming, cheerful, caring including the housekeeping ladies !
Last but not least, the receptionist ~KARRA RIPPON. karra was the most patient, helpful, amicable , devoted, loving, thoughtful & caring staff member over there & there is no doubt about that! I did not sleep well, the mattress was rather uncomfortable. I did report it and was told they were in the process of upgrading mattresses. The staff were all very happy, welcoming and friendly.

If you bring big baggage be careful of the slope. Rooms are basically clean but the shared facilities are used by all the guests. You can't expect they are always clean. The wifi connection is fast and the rate is perfect for all these amenities. They do not have breakfast service so they don’t charge breakfast however still they offer free coffee , tea and pastry in the morning . Perfect.

Hotel was pleasant enough for what it was. Comfortable bed and warm room. The shower wasn’t very hot but acceptable.
Breakfast was good but I thought £15 per night for car park a bit steep. Being next to the Sheffield United football ground I could understand the need to ration parking but this wasn’t a match day and there is not much close to attract drivers who might use the parking available.

Fully equipped: kettle, microwave oven, induction cooker can burn 4 pots at the same time, dishwasher, oven, small refrigerator have freezing and refrigeration. A set of knives and small cutting boards, mugs, glass, red wine glasses, dishes, three large, medium and small soup pots, one of the wok is estimated to be burnt and cannot be used, washing baskets, glassware dishes, knife and fork spoons are very complete without chopsticks, different types of pot shovel spoons are complete, Red wine bottle opener dumplings are available, very very intimate. Self-check-in is also very convenient to follow the mail operation steps, check out and put the key in the box next to the door downstairs. The bathroom does not provide slippers, shower gel, disposable shampoo, towels, bath towels, no front desk staff, communication is not very convenient when encountering problems, you can contact the apartment customer service by email or phone, or contact the supplier to transfer to the apartment with Trip.com . Some paint downstairs caused the bathroom (our room type has no window) to smell when checking in, and it was solved by contacting the apartment through Trip.com .
