I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Birmingham, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. This hotel is a true gem in the heart of the city, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone visiting Birmingham. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the front desk team went out of their way to make me feel at home. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a deluxe room with a stunning view of Birmingham’s skyline, which added a special touch to my stay. The room itself was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable – I slept like a dream every night! I loved the little touches, like the Nespresso machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and the sleek bathroom with a powerful rain shower and luxurious toiletries. Everything felt well thought-out, making my stay both relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch. The on-site restaurant was a highlight, offering a fantastic breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options, from fresh pastries and fruit to full English breakfast items. I would stay here again! I loved the location of the hotel. It is right inbetween the city center (New Street Station & Bullring) and the beautiful Brindley Place are by the old canal. The room itself was clean and looked mostly like it was in the picture, I also had a pretty cool view onto the old canal from the 15th floor. The carpet and the couch looked a bit ”worn down”, but it was clean nonetheless. The staff was friendly, nice and very helpful. It was nice that the breakfast was included and there was a good choice of breakfast options. I can 100% recommend this hotel when staying in Birmingham. I had a nice time and didn't miss anything while staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

We stayed at the heart of Birmingham city, with designated hotel parking lots at the basement (you have to pay extra for parking but £13 overnight is good enough). Free coffee and hot chocolate at the lobby. Room is comfortable and of good size. Interestingly, the bathroom door serves its dual role of both the bathroom’s and the toilet’s door. Breakfast was fantastic with ingredients to make a full English breakfast (minus the black pudding). Recommend this place if you want to be close to bustling heart of the city center.

The hotel is centrally located in the city centre about 20 mins walk from the New Street railway station. Just next to Chinatown and the famous open and indoor market in Birmingham. The coach station is just 5 mins walk from the hotel. The kitchen and all the facilities in the room is good. All the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. My microwave was out of order one day and they replaced it in just 5 mins time. Really excellent and will definitely come back again.

You can hear everything happening in the room next door including what they are watching on television and sleep noises. Though an old hotel ,refurbishment is continuing from 2024. Hence, good rate for rooms. They should have Do Not disturb signs - then if staying over in the sane room can put a sign on the door or ask for a top-up using another sign on the outside of the door handle. Was annoyed on one occasion as I had cramps in both legs and booked to stay in sane room on the phone. Then spoke to a man(asian) at reception . He refused my request to get me new key and demanded I came down to reception to swop keys- which could have been done later. Said I had to do for 10am - which was silly as that's not what other hotels do( as they know you booked to stay another night and swop keys later. Plus, it's not empathetic to my predicament - 70 years old. Diabetic. On a previous occasion kettle was very dirty inside- but had to go to reception to swop- no staff to come to room to do that.

When we entered the room, there was an armchair with a base for our child. Downers are the sewage smells that emanated from the sink whenever someone showered from above. Not soundproof; noise made by inconsiderate guests could be heard from the corridor and the floor above. Shower area is like a capsule but its door is avant garde, with a hole in place of a door knob.

This is my second visit here and as I probably said first time around, it was perfect for just getting your head down after a night out. This time I had a room with a window. Despite being in the busy centre, there was little or no noise to disturb me. The room was clean, stocked, tidy although the outside of the windows could do with a wash 😉. Checking in was no problem either, quick, efficient and friendly as was the check out.

Hotel location is good, but no Novotel is close to the airport. Novotel is walking at the door of the airport glass door for a minute. This hotel is to take the airport light rail for three minutes, then get off the train for ten minutes to walk through the exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is about five minutes walk. Remember that the hotel entrance is at the pizza shop. After entering the door, the elevator is on the second floor. It is the lobby, don't go wrong or circle. The breakfast is very suitable for the Chinese stomach, and the variety is very rich. I live here because I want to participate in the cake show every November. The picture is that it is convenient to go to the exhibition hall without going too far, otherwise the mobile phone is tired. Actually, it is also very tired, stop and go all the way. The hotel is actually a Shanghai-like Heshenghui, a big shopping mall. The hotel reception is in the corner of the second floor of the shopping mall. The guest room is inside the corner building built outside the main building. I feel that the floor of the guest room is built instead of cement, but the quality is very good. . There are not many stores in the mall, the British consumption is not high in the country, and there is a little bit of Colombia in the north. It feels high consumption. There are very few other shops. There is a coffee shop costa in the mall. You can buy a sandwich clerk to help you heat up. The huge sandwich is delicious. There is a specialty store in the Swiss Lotus chocolate, and it is more cost-effective to sell chocolate. Finally, the check-out of this hotel is not to check the room, the room card can go directly to the front desk.

It wasn't our first visit to a hotel from a Malmaison chain and safe to say the experience didn't disappoint. The hotel is positioned very centrally and everything you need is at most 10 minutes walk away. Unlike other Malmaison hotels we have visited this one also offers spa and gym facilities which are open for the hotel guests and although we haven't had a chance to make use of them they did look nice and we will make sure to book a much longer stay to enjoy these facilities in the future. Breakfast as always didn't disappoint and is highly recommended. Same goes to the bar area which is very nicely design allowing the guests to enjoy a nice drink in the evening.
