I stayed there for several days in a row. I only had one room card, which I accidentally left in the room. For this reason, the front desk lady remembered me and gave me two cards. There is a park and a traffic light outside the hotel, and it only takes a few minutes to walk to the downtown area. Peterborough is a nice city, small but complete, with a large cathedral and a sense of historical architecture.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel! ✅ Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the reception staff were warm and welcoming. They also helped us register our car for free parking, which was a great bonus. 🛏️ Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The air conditioning was customisable and worked flawlessly throughout the stay, adding to our comfort. 🧴 All the toiletries were fully stocked and ready to use — a small but thoughtful touch. 🕛 One thing we really appreciated was the 12 PM checkout time, which is later than many other hotels. It gave us extra time to relax and pack without feeling rushed. 🛍️ The location is super convenient — just a 5-minute walk to a large shopping mall, making dining and shopping easy. 🔌 Another highlight was the electric vehicle charging available in the hotel parking, which was exactly what we needed. 💷 Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money with great service and thoughtful amenities. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

The standard rooms are small and old-fashioned, with no lift. Breakfast is full English breakfast, no noodles, no fried rice, no porridge, only bread butter butter bacon sausage fried tomato omelette scrambled eggs beans, coffee juice yogurt fruit. Strange things must be handed over by the waiter, not taken by yourself.

Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home based 15 minute walk from the town centre and 20 minute walk to the train station. The property contains 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super-king sized bed. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and the third bedroom adjoins the second bedroom with 1 single bed. There are wardrobes and draws in both the master and second bedrooms, and the second and third bedroom both have a desk to work from. There is one bathroom with toilet, sink and a shower over bath. The kitchen-diner is fully kitted with a cooker, hobs, microwave, kettle, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and everything else you need for your stay. The kitchen also has a washing machine. There is a dining table that seats 5 guests. PLEASE NOTE:The property is an old Victorian period building and therefore the staircase is very steep and not suitable for the elderly. At first I wondered why there was no mineral water, but later I found that the hotel lobby provided free sparkling water and purified water, as well as ice cubes, which was very user-friendly. I went to Peterborough to visit someone dear in hospital and this place isn’t far. It’s also near the shopping centre. Tapas is a nice host. Quiet location, a local family restaurant is nearby. Room price is very very competitive! 10 minutes drive to city centre but just 5-7 minutes drive to Nene park which is great. Room renovation and breakfast buffet are the same as other Holiday Inn Express do. Food quality is expected and consistent. Shower water pressure was not very very strong but still acceptable.

I stayed for one night at a rate of £42. The hotel is located in a busy service station area, so there was plenty of activity around. Despite this, the hotel itself was quiet. Although it was clearly fully booked, we didn’t hear any noise from outside or other guests, suggesting that the rooms are either well soundproofed or fellow guests were very considerate. There’s no restaurant or café within the hotel itself, but McDonald’s and several other fast-food options are conveniently located in the neighbouring building.
