Close to the Cardiff Bay area and a very short bus to the main city and Cardiff Castle. Breakfast was excellent (but no muesli). Rooms spacious but no fridge (I think that the UK don't do fridges) we did enjoy our stay and would fully recommend staying here. Car park is next door at a multi carpark which is subsidised by the hotel @ 25 - 30%.

The only reasons I gave 4/5 stars for service was the self service hot beverage station and making your own toast. Order their specials better, however, this time my poached eggs were not soft. Excellent wine and excellent bar lunch which they allowed us to eat in the restaurant which was a bonus. I love this location. Walks through the wetlands and to Penarth and easy links to Barry Island. Spa brilliant and the quiet area next to the gym brilliant for reading

I had a lovely stay here. The room was very clean and a nice size, plenty of space for one or a couple would be fine too. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was the usual basic hotel breakfast but satisfied me just fine. The location is perfect, so close to Cardiff Bay which is where I wanted to be, but tucked away and quiet. There was no noise from anywhere, so a very restful sleep. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

My family and I enjoy facilities in Hotel, especially indoor swimming pool with sauna 👍, restaurant is really nice environment and good food. The band of shower gel, shampoo and hand washing is very nice, the smell is good 💖 But unfortunately, our room air conditioner out of control, we only use fans in our hotel room 🤯 I can’t expect in our trip😅 Although our bathroom has a tub, it hasn’t stopper. I want to reception ask for it , staff told me arrange a maintenance visit next day, no show. I think it just sometime happens, the hotel is nice and location is good too.

Pleasant stay, very cozy and comfortable place, fully furnished with utensils and plates. Wifi was a little spotty, one of the sinks seemed to have drainage issues but otherwise it was a pleasant experience. Steve was readily contactable and accomodating - we got to leave our luggage at the inn past the checkout time while we explored the city. Highly recommended.

Busy hotel, popular pool, gym, need to wait your turn for sauna & steam room but Impressed with facilities. Room service food was basic. We arrived at Cardiff Central by train, which is 15mins walking to this Premier Inn. It was very welcoming and staff friendly, rooms clean, with as much tea and coffee, which you took from the travellers store at the main entrance. My only gripe is as I have dietary requirements, They couldn't cater for them and had to make do with what was on offer. No gluten free food at night, Only what I would call general burgers, lasagne, steak battered fish and chips. Only veg on offer was peas. In this day and age Hotels need to cater for a variety of people's health conditions. Vegan/vegetarians are not Gluten free or Ibs sufferers or Celiacs. Which are complicated problems. It would be helpful if they offered something which could be adapted. .

Booked one night when I thought I was paying for 2. For the price I was paying, I was expecting much more. Hotel needs modernisation, very much out of date. Heater in the room doesn't work so it's still cold. Next to a loud street (but that's my problem, I should have known better). The photos on trip.com make it look much better than it actually is. I think this room is worth £50 a night max. I wouldn't consider paying more. Disappointing.

For a three star hotel of vintage decor and architecture, it was pleasantly lit and not dingy and dark. The hotel design follows an industrial style, the rooms are spacious, and the bed is extremely comfortable. The restroom locate on the sixth floor has a very quiet and elegant atmosphere. Undeniably, the location of the hotel is perfect as it is very close to the Cardiff Castle and the city center, only few minutes to there. The hotel also provides carpark with a reasonable charges. The staff is friendly, except that when we requested 2 more pillows, the staff questioned us why we did not take the spare pillows in the wardrobe where he didn't realize that those pillows were taken by his colleague who took them to set up 2 sofa beds for us. We explained this to him but it appeared to me that he was very impatient and impolite and cut the line. At last, of course the staff did not follow up. Same as other advise, the hotel really needs renovation as the decoration and fittings are old and outdated.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of the central station, next to the downtown business district, it is very convenient to eat, go shopping, go to the castle, museum and Market. It takes 30-40 minutes to walk to the Bay. There is a bus nearby, which takes 20 minutes. I feel that the bus tickets in Cardiff are more expensive than those in England. The hotel staff are very nice.

The hotel is very close to the train station (less than 2 mins walk) and the city center. The staff were very friendly but it seems that they somehow lack of experience. I booked a room on trip.com and had prepaid for the stay. But I was charged again for the stay when I checked out. Thank god trip.com was able to refund from their side. The room has no window, so only the Air Con provides ventilation. Bathroom can smell sometimes.

I stayed here for a business trip for one week. The room seemed to be clean but it is so dark that you can’t really tell if it is clean or not. That’s actually an issue - the lightening is bad. I couldn’t really work in the room since it had only a yellow ambient lightening and not a normal main source of light. The bathroom can be slightly cold if you don’t leave the door open so that warm air from the A/C can enter. It is shameful that they don’t have a breakfast included, especially for long stays in the hotel which is not so cheap and out of the center… at least one small sandwich would make things better, but nop 👎🏼. Another thing is that the area is not very nice. Unless you have to do something in that area, i don’t recommend you to stay. I was even told by taxi drivers to not walk around alone after it gets dark. Before I knew that, I did take a walk and it really felt a bit unsafe. The staff was ok, I didn’t have much contact with them. Only had an incident when I arrived - they couldn’t find me in their system (it was booked under other name by mistake but I actually changed it a week before arrival so I don’t know why they didn’t have updated information). There is a small gym, but almost all machines, except one, are for cardio exercises. Almost no restaurants or shops in the area.

Good location about 5 minutes walk from Cardiff Central station. The room is small but big enough for sleeping. Cleaning once every 2 days. Amenity does not have toothpaste set. On the last day, the cleaning lady took my towel that was drying in the room by mistake. At one point, I wondered what would happen, but he kindly searched for me from among a large number of dry cleaners. Overall, customer service is a good impression.
