Hotel Baltum

Hotel Baltum

📍 Av. 25 de Abril 26, Albufeira
★★★ 8.1 (104 reviews)

"I found this hotel by chance while searching for a hotel to go to Albufeira in southern Portugal and take a tour of the Benagil Cave and dolphins. There were no reviews from Koreans, only reviews from foreigners, so I hesitated a bit before making my choice, but it felt like I found a pearl on a sandy beach. The hotel is not big, but it was clean and the staff were friendly. The hotel was located in the center of the old town, so all amenities were conveniently available, and it was also in a great location with good accessibility. It is a very beautiful place with a beautiful view of the street and the sea outside the window, but it can be a bit noisy as it is located in the center of the old town. However, it is a good place where even such noise can be enjoyed. Must go"

Anchor House

📍 Largo da Estação, Ferreiras
★★ 8.1 (8 reviews)

"It was not clean, the owner was a little bit strange ( throwing away food without asking, playing too loud music at night). The Wifi did not work and overall not a satisfying experience for 40euros a bed. Would also not recommend for solo female travellers. If you can, I would sleep somewhere else tbh."

"Basic accommodation. Staff were pretty helpful, Terrance was very inactive the night I was there though has potential."

Hotel Mar A Vista

Hotel Mar A Vista

📍 Largo dos Lusíadas, Albufeira
★★ 7.7 (47 reviews)

"The hotel has seen better days. The room looked like a dump, the carpet was disgusting and the bathroom smelled rotten. In favor of saying that the mattresses are comfortable, but the pillows need a change. Correct breakfast and friendly staff. You can park at the door without problem."

Hotel Indigo ALBUFEIRA by IHG

Hotel Indigo ALBUFEIRA by IHG

📍 R. Joaquim Pedro Samora 2, Albufeira
★★★★ 8.5 (110 reviews)

"The room was much bigger than we first expected. Not the room type we were expecting but the room seemed to be upgraded with a larger bed and room size. Liked how the hotel embrace sustainability by having wooden room cards and paper made hangers, my friend and I really enjoyed the stay without the kids' noises. The swings on 5th Floor were quite fun, so as the sunbathing area on 6th floor. Sound cancellation was superb as the hotel locates at the noisest area of Albufeira but we cannot hear any music when we stepped into the room. Otherwise, there's two entrance which can get you to different part of Albufeira, therefore overall it is very convenience. Will look forward to visit the hotel again."

PortoBay Falesia

📍 Quinta do Milharó, Olhos de Agua
★★★★ 8.9 (109 reviews)

"Ah... first off, I feel so regretful. I never knew the southern region of Portugal was this beautiful... I didn't know it at the time, but it turns out it's a famous resort area... haha. I only stayed one night along the route while traveling by rental car... and I really regret it. This hotel certainly played a significant role in that. It is an excellent hotel with a view of the Atlantic Ocean stretching out to the horizon, situated right below a cliff coastline about 6 km long. The facilities were impeccable, and it only takes 30 to 40 minutes by car to Benazil Beach, which I often see on Windows desktop backgrounds. Cleanliness, friendliness, facility management... it is all superb. If I can travel to Spain and Portugal again... I will definitely choose this hotel again. Next time, I plan to stay for about 3 or 4 nights to properly swim and play tennis. ^^ You can find this hotel by searching for the city of 'Albufeira' in Portugal."

Santa Eulalia Hotel & Spa

Santa Eulalia Hotel & Spa

📍 Estr. de Santa Eulália, Albufeira
★★★★ 8.1 (45 reviews)

"This was our 3rd visit to Santa Eulália Hotel and Spa. We had a lovely time, the rooms are spotless and spacious, cleaned and towels changed daily. We had a lovely refurbished room on the 4th floor with a huge walk in shower. We love the garden area for sunbathing as it is quieter and there is shade if you need it and we were always able to get a sun lounger. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great as it is close to lovely bars, restaurant's and beaches."

"Excellent Location, Private Beach access, Delicious Buffet Dinner and Good buffet Breakfast is the Key Point. It's a massive aparthotel. Service was Okey, not much interaction. Thought, it will be quite due to off season but it was busy due to 3 large Football Club also came for the weekend. Our room was in A block. A bit walk from main reception and restaurant. We booked standard room, so was not expecting much anyway. Room was okey size. There was air-conditioning in the room but no heating. Tried 30 degree with that but room was not warm enough. Toilet was missing Hand wash, no soap, no slippers. Basically no toiletries as expected from 4 star hotel. Positive thing was main Restaurant Jacs. We booked half board. Breakfast was okey. But best part was dinner. Themed dinner every night. Good service and quick refill. Has Outdoor Pool and Sauna. Ocean Bar is good for Sunset view. The location was good. Beach is walking distance. Pub/Club/Supermarket/ restaurants are 5 to 10 min walking distance. So far so good. Would recommend."

"The hotel rooms are quite large, with a terrace and paid parking spaces for only 5 euros a night. You can also park in the free parking space at the door. It takes 35 minutes to drive to the famous Benagil Caves. The breakfast is very rich. It was very good to stay for 2 nights."

"Arrived Friday evening for a 7 night break with my husband. Reception big and clean, check in process quick and simple! Allocated room 5, easy to find, exceptionally clean and split between modern and slightly dated mainly the kitchen needs updating) kitchen facilities are VERY basic with very minimal utensils and plates etc The room had a lovely pool view with balcony too, maid service daily and comfortable beds. Has an indoor pool, whirlpool, gym and squash court too. Pool area simple with a medium size pool and toddler pool, lots of comfortable sun-beds amd maintained garden areas. Location was good for both old and new town 10-15 min walk to each or 4 euro in an uber or bolt. As it was out of season the hotel overall was quiet! I'd say more for couples and friends than family's. Mini golf always busy as open to the public also but you can play for 12 euros each. No vending machines etc which I think would do well but there is a Spar shop 3 mins around the corner. I would happily stay here again no issues! I do think it could benefit from a lick of paint and freshen up but otherwise great!"

Hotel Baltum ★★★
"The hotel has a great location - in the city center, 2 minutes to the beach and no need to go up and down the elevator or stairs. Of course, it is noisy in the evening, like in the whole center, but it did not bother us. For your money, it is a great option."

Son of a Beach Hostel ★★
"This is by far the best hostel I stayed at, in spite of the number of occupants. I was lucky to have very quiet boys in the room. There’s only one bathroom, connected to the room, but it worked. The hostel is new, modern and spotless. The owner is very friendly. The hostel is also 5 minutes walk from the beach. It was perfect. It’s a long walk to Albufeira from the city buses, and not very clear where the FlixBus stops. I wouldn’t recommend walking from the train station, which took me 4 hours. There’s a local bus, don’t scrimp = TAKE IT. Or take an Uber, or Bolt. Or ask the taxi what he wants to charge from the bus stop at the train station ! The RedeExpress is where the bus station is (but not for the FlixBus). In summary, you can go to Albufeira by FlixBus, but it’s difficult to know where FlixBus leaves Albufeira from. That all said, Albufeira is very difficult in high season, TOO CROWDED, but the Portuguese are tolerant and very patient because they know that tourism is lucrative and has raised the whole country out of poverty. Residents enjoy cheap and / or free public transport on local buses (cheap monthly passes). Residents are respectful and kind. You can practice your Portuguese with them for a laugh, but they all speak English to varying degrees. Here you can meet real residents. On the beach, not necessarily in the pubs. I loved it here. Don’t miss it."

Hotel Mar A Vista ★★
"Rooms with dated carpet.. the one my mother-in-law had smelled of smoke, even though I was told that this is impossible due to the anti-smoking system.. no shelves in the bathroom.. breakfast chapter, better to forget it and go straight to some bar or pastelaria out there in the surrounding area"

PortoBay Falesia ★★★★
"The hotel's biggest advantage is its location on the best beach, Falesia. The views are picturesque. The hotel itself is small, but the grounds are well-planned, with several spots to enjoy the scenery. It's very beautiful and cozy. I booked a standard room, and they gave me a very old room on the second floor with a view of the parking lot. The room had a strong musty smell, old carpeting, and there were constant renovation noises from the parking area. I have allergies, so staying in such a room was very uncomfortable. Therefore, I had to pay an extra 70 euros for one night to switch to a sea-view room. They gave me a room on the fourth floor, in a different wing. This room was a bit smaller, and there wasn't a strong musty smell, especially with the balcony open, but the sea view definitely made up for everything! The breakfasts are excellent, service is good, and there's yoga and stretching offered throughout the day. There's both an outdoor and an indoor pool. In May, it's still a bit cold, so you can't really swim much. The staff are pleasant and try their best to help with everything."

Boa Vista Hotel & Spa - Adults Only ★★★★
"The hotel is very well located, 15 minutes from the city center and right next to the beach. It is charmingly decorated and has a great view towards the city and the ocean. Some things are a bit old and could be better cared for. Our room could definitely use a renovation but still retains a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the breakfast organization today, not enough plates and cutlery and most no one to lift up the tables. Food was also scarse but tasty."

Santa Eulalia Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"After reading some recent reviews I was a little worried before arriving to the hotel. On arrival I found there was not much to complain about. The hotel apartment was clean, spacious and fresh. The pool area was clean with plenty of loungers around the pool and garden area until 11am. Drinks from the bar were always made fresh and strong. Room cleaned daily with fresh towels. The fridge in the kitchen worked great allowing us to freeze water. We didn’t visit the spa was good value. Yes there were groups of young friends staying at the hotel, however I didn’t find these caused much disruption. Any music at the pool was told to stop after a short while. We may have got lucky over our duration, however given the prox walk to new town this will happen. It isn’t the hotels fault the area has spiked in popularity with teens."
