3HB Golden Beach

Just come back from a weeks stay at the 3HB Golden Beach. Location was great! Right next to the beach with beach shacks for food and drink. Up "cardiac hill" to main *****. t's not really that bad of a hill, maybe not good for people who are unfit or have walking problems as path can be slippy.Hotel is close enough to the mains ***** for bars and restaurants without hearing the nighttime noise. Old town is a nice 40 minute walk away or under 5 euros by uber which takes less then 10 minutes due to one way systems. Room was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children. Decided to give the kids the bedroom for a change but mostly because the beds were too firm for me lol! Sofa beds were much more comfortable and when placed on the floor, make a nice double bed. Room was very clean and cleaners came in every day to tidy up and make beds. They work so hard to make the hotel clean and tidy I think they deserve more recognition. Kitchen had everything you could need for making food and there was a tea towel and washing up liquid provided. Toaster, kettle, microwave and 2 ring hob. Bathroom was also lovely with shower over bath, hand wash, shower gel, shampoo, toilet roll and an abundance of clean towels daily. Don't be too put off by the steps around the hotel, they aren't that bad. We stayed in room 21 which was halfway up from pool, halfway down from reception and never had any issues. Pool was cold but that didn't stop my kids! There were a few times we struggled to get 4 sunbeds but that was due to people reserving beds and not actually using them. Some people have no thought for others. Pool snack bar was good with cocktails for 7.50 euros, cocktail of the day 6.50 euros and a beer for 3 euros. My only bug bear was happy hour. It was stated to be between 4-6 but actually doesn't exist!!!!! Went to get a cocktail before going up to our room and was told it was only the cocktail of the day. So I accepted that and ordered expecting to get 2 but was only given one. When I asked about the happy hour I was told it was just a special price for the cocktail but this had been the same all day! Total false advertising which needs to be taken down. There is NO happy hour! Bar is also cash only. Not too much of a problem, just need to have the cash ready. Food ordered from the snack bar was amazing. Recommend the chicken wings. They were fresh, piping hot and delicious! Reception staff we great on arrival providing info on how to get to room, pool opening times and pool towel system. On check out I felt we were almost pushed out! As check out was at 11 and out pick up not til 5 we decided to use the luggage room and have a pool day. When we went to use the one small shower room, we were told to hurry up as there was another family waiting. Now I'm not one to mess around, especially when we have a transfer to get, but there really was no need to hurry us along when we were just trying to gather our things. I ended up sorting ourselves

Loved it here. Gorgeous apartment which was huge for the three of us. Everything was spotless- a credit to the hotel staff. Pool and bar area was great although pool was freezing! Lush cocktails and tasty bar snacks. Fab location and no noise from the bars on the *****. Can’t wait to come back.

This place is amazing. The staff go above and beyond, the standard of cleanliness was 1st class. The pool, apartments and reception area were always spotless. Free use of safe in the apartment which was brilliant. We felt very safe at all times - I would go back in a heartbeat!

We spent a week at 3HB Golden Beach in March. Everything was great, very spacious apartment with a large balcony. The bathroom had a huge walk-in shower. Free aircon, safe and pool towels if required. Just a few minutes walk down to the lovely beach and nice restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Just back from a week in 3HB Golden Beach & I don't usually leave reviews but I feel our stay here deserved a review..... We had a fabulous week in 3HB Golden Beach, from start to finish all the staff were so kind, helpful & considerate! On arrival we were upgraded to a seaview apartment, which was beautiful, absolutely spotless, cleaned daily and the kitchen was ideal. As we were travelling with a one year old the kitchen was perfectly equipped for us, a 2 ring electric hob, microwave, lots of cookwear, fridge, box freezer and loads of hot water. The apartment was very spacious and our little boy had loads of room for moving around. The apartment had a beautiful walled balcony with garden furniture & the whole building is very cleverly designed as you are not overlooked by neighbouring apartments nor can you easily see into other apartments! Our bedroom was very spacious with two single beds joined together, to make a double, the beds & bedding were all very comfortable & clean. The bathroom was spotless with a very large powerful shower! There were 2 televisions, one in living room & one in bedroom ( I can't comment on channels etc as we did not watch the television!) As the weather was not very warm we didn't use the pool but it looked lovely, very clean & lots of loungers. There's a small playground for very young children on the property, it has 3 small slides, a seesaw & a little climbing frame and tunnel! It was a real plus having access to this just as an extra for entertaining young children. The complex is located in the new town, literally a 2 minute walk from the beach and from restaurants on the sea-front. The "*****" is at the top of the hill, 3-4minutes walk, but we heard no noise at all from out apartment at anytime of the day/night. Finally, I would highly recommend 3HB Golden Beach & just want to say thanks to all the staff for making our stay so comfortable.... Johnny, Ann & Stephen (Ireland)

Just arrived back from a weeks stay Staff was extremely helpful & polite.Apartment was spotless and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.Pool & pool bar very nice with a good selection of food & drinks at reasonable prices. Good location as everything is on your doorstep. Will definitely use 3HB again

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay at the 3HB Golden Beach hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect, being only minutes walk to the beach as well as a few bars and restaurants, but far enough away from the ‘*****’ to be bothered by any noise or late night activity. The reception staff were especially friendly and efficient, from the moment we arrived to the day we left, they were extremely helpful. Our room had a sea view (which is worth the extra cost) and was clean and well equipped. The local supermarket was only 5-10 minutes walk, however there is a small convenience store about 2 minutes walk from the hotel, for those last minute items. The pool area at the hotel is well stocked with sun beds and the pool bar serves snacks, beers and ice cream at reasonable prices. We cannot say enough about this hotel, the only problem we encountered was leaving… 😊

My family and I stayed here in October 2023, during the Scottish school holidays and we travelled with Jet2. We knew from our research that the hotel would be good, but it exceeded our expectations. The location is great, close to the '*****' and the beach but not noisy. The hotel is modern, clean, and well maintained. Apartments have their own entrances, so they feel more like villas than hotel rooms. We upgraded to a sea view apartment (small extra charge with Jet2), which was very spacious and I enjoyed sitting on the large balcony watching the waves roll in. The pool isn't particularly big, but since we travelled slightly off-peak, this was not an issue for us and there were always free sunbeds. The poolside bar is great (card and cash accepted) and serves burgers, toasties, milkshakes and other drinks. There are small supermarkets close by, we used the bakery/shop down the road towards the beach and a supermarket across the road from that (in small shopping mall). There are lots of restaurants and bars along the seafront and up the road, on the *****. The hotel is very clean, and I particularly liked that the safe, pool towels, and aircon are included in the price and no extra charges have to be paid. I didn't use the small gym, but it did look good. There is a pool table in the same building as the gym, and we did use that a few times (1 Euro/game). The kitchen is a good size, and washing-up liquid is provided. There is a microwave, but no oven. I brought a small cafetiere, which was handy as none was provided. The only issue we had was that our neighbours were extremely noisy one night (arguing, crying, followed by vomiting - nice!) and the soundproofing between apartments doesn't seem that good. We used Uber for travelling to the Old Town one day, super efficient and cheap. Overall, a great location and hotel.

We went at the beginning of July 2022, for our wedding anniversary Beautiful & clean , great food & staff Very relaxing & chilled. Staff were very friendly & accommodating. Hotel was spotless…and always being cleaned . Early July was a good time to go as there weren’t any kids on holidays so was quite . Lots of entertainment during the day if you wanted to do something… nice walks down to the beach / bars etc
