"Disappointed with the two-night stay from 29 May to 31 May 2026 at Hotel Grand Crystal. 1. The towels appeared very old and had not been replaced for a long time. 2. The bed sheets had brown stains. 3. The duvet/blanket had no proper bedsheet or cover on it. 4. I did not use the blanket while sleeping as the duvet/blanket did not have a bedsheet or cover. 5. I checked out of the hotel the very next day due to the poor condition of the room. 6. The hotel is very rundown, and it appears that no renovation has been carried out for a long time. 7. This is the worst hotel experience I have encountered in my life. I have never experienced such poor conditions before. 8. WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY UNLESS THE ABOVE CONDITIONS ARE MET."

"The cleanliness of the room needs to be improved, self check in is easy and no problems. The only major issue is the soundproofing of the room because sleep is quite disturbed due to the sound of the guest in the next room snoring loudly!"

"Made a last-minute booking due to heavy traffic on the way back to Penang from Kuala Perlis during the Hari Raya festive season. Appreciated the cleanliness—sheets and bed were spotless. The room was spacious, perfect for kids to move around. Basic facilities provided, including body shampoo and a travel toothbrush set. Ample parking, comfy ambiance, and a good option for a short-term stay. Would return if visiting Alor Setar again!"
