Streets are narrow and steep with no dedicated sidewalk as with most hills neighborhood. Trees sometimes obscure street signs and lampposts so trying to locate our house at night can be challenging. There are stairs to access the unit and pavement can sometimes be uneven so those with mobility issues please be aware. Although we are located in the city of Oakland, the setting has a rural feel. We keep windows open most days. The central heat is controlled by a thermostat in the living room. If you use it please turn it off when you go. If you look at my reviews, all reviews prior to July 2018 are from either this home before the renovation or from my sailboat. They are mostly very positive reviews with some complaints about cleanliness. The home prior to renovation was very old and hard to keep clean.
