Athens Cypria Hotel Reviews

A fantastic, safe location in the city center, easy walking distance to shopping, dining, and many attractions. The rooms were cozy and amenities were abundant. The breakfast spread was impressive and the roof top bar was breathtaking! Above all, the service from check-in to check out was superb! Our Acropolis view was a hidden surprise as it appeared from the side of our huge balcony. Wish my sister and I could have stayed longer!

Room is cosy, not much space to put your luggages, AC is central control at 20°c, it's cooling enough. Bathroom is small, clean. Rooftop bar open from 11am-1am. The streets comes to love in the evening, you can hear music from restaurant below and the street musicians till 12am. But it's not a deal breaker. I had a pleasant stay here overall.

Excellent location, close to the metro station and airport bus. It is also situated in the heart of the shopping area, making it easy to access everywhere. The breakfast is nice.

The highlight is definitely the bar on the 7th floor rooftop – the location is fantastic. The hotel's location is good, it's just that the facilities are a bit old; the kettle was broken, the air conditioning was hard to control, and the safe was outdated. However, overall it's still pretty good. Also, a friendly reminder: when you're out and about in Athens, make sure to keep a close eye on your belongings. The pickpocketing here is incredibly skilled, and the police station only provides receipts without actually resolving any issues.

The price was a bit high. The first room type I stayed in was very large and spacious, but this executive room felt a bit small. It's very close to Syntagma Square, and it's convenient to get to the airport by bus or metro. I didn't have time to explore Athens, as I was just transiting.

Even though the room categories in the booking were different, they all ended up being similar. The hotel is clean, and the reception is good. The location is excellent.

Also, try to request a room away from the street if you're a light sleeper, as the bars out front can be a little loud at night."

First stay here. Top-notch location and excellent service! Only minor quibble was the breakfast was a bit basic. Recommended!

Hoping for free water bottles.

Friendly staff always ready to help, a clean hotel with daily room cleaning. Excellent location, right in the heart of the tourist area, and a decent breakfast. The downside is the gym, which is so small you could almost say it doesn't exist.

As a woman solo traveler this was the perfect 1 night stay to experience Athens.

The hotel per se was OK... but the service staff was lacking. We arrived early and was told we could not check in - something which I of course accept. Reception promised to e-mail me once a room becomes available. The e-mail never came. When I returned at the designated check-in time, I asked her why she did not send me any email. She came up with a crappy excuse like "I tried to call you"... which I do not believe as I had specifically told her I have an international number and please WhatsApp me, to which she said she will e-mail me instead. We went up to the rooftop bar in the late afternoon to check it out. We asked the bartender what time they are opened until as we had planned to return that evening for a view of the Acropolis by night. He told us the time (I cannot remember the specifics now but it was late). He made no mention about the bar being closed for a private event that night. Imagine our disappointment when we went up later and realised it was closed. To add insult to injury, he was very rude to us.
