We had a lovely stay at Christofinia Hotel in Ayia Napa. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience, perfect for a short break. The rooms were quite basic in terms of décor, but very clean and well-maintained. No complaints there. Our balcony faced another building, but since it was low-rise, we still got a good amount of natural light. The beds were comfortable, though the towels provided were quite small and not the best quality, which was a little surprising for a 4-star hotel. Breakfast had a relatively small selection, but all the essentials were there—hot and cold options, fresh items, and something for everyone. Dinner also had a limited selection, but it was enough, and everything was fresh, well-cooked, and topped up regularly. One great touch was the themed dinner nights—we especially enjoyed Mexican night, which added a bit of variety and fun to the dining experience. The coffee/hot drinks and juice machines were good quality, and the juices didn’t have that usual cheap taste many hotel buffets offer. During lunchtime, there’s no buffet—food is ordered from the pool bar/snack bar, which was fine for us. The drinks and cocktails were great, no complaints at all in that department. The outdoor pools were freezing cold during our stay—definitely no heating, which made it hard to enjoy them. Something to be aware of if you’re visiting in the cooler months. The location was ideal. Although not beachfront, it’s just a 4–5 minute walk across the road to the beach, which worked perfectly for us. We usually stay in beachfront hotels, but didn’t mind the short walk at all. It’s also about a 30-minute walk to the main Ayia Napa *****, or you can catch a bus straight there for €1.50–€2 during the day or €3 at night. The bus stop is conveniently located right outside the hotel grounds, which made getting around super easy. The hotel staff can also call taxis if needed. We visited in April, so both the hotel and Ayia Napa were quite quiet, which suited us well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A special touch was the surprise for my son’s birthday, which was the day after our arrival. They left a lovely birthday message, a plate of fruit, a small bottle of red wine, and two cartons of juice in the room—such a thoughtful gesture! We didn’t get a chance to use the spa or gym as it was a short break, but the spa team were always visible near the lifts, explaining their services to guests. The indoor bar was a cosy, relaxing space in the evenings—just note that all-inclusive drinks finish at 11 pm. All in all, a lovely stay with a few minor downsides, but nothing that took away from our overall experience. Would definitely consider staying again, especially in the warmer months.
