Clean and comfortable. Bed was đ and shower was very good. Excellent service/staff. Easy checkin and car parking(at a cost, but everywhere in Brisbane is) Extra pillows on request were no problem and location is fab! Would return. Good gym and roof top pool if thatâs your thing too. Only thing id skip is including breakfast, see separate review, eat elsewhere.

Convenient location in Brisbane city. Reception provided great service, was polite and welcoming. We had a warm welcome and a quick, easy and fuss-free check in process. Thank you Vania! (Hope I got her name right) Amazing view from the Sky Lounge located on the 36th floor. However the apartment was slightly dirty. We put up the sign to make up our room but it was not made at all, even when the housekeeping staff was cleaning the room next to ours when we left. We left the hotel to go out in the morning and when we returned at night the âmake up the roomâ sign was still on our door and the room was exactly as we left it when we went out. Room wasn't made, toiletries weren't replenished.

Loved our stay at Stamford Plaza and we were there for about 2 weeks in a Suite. Huge rooms seperate lounge, huge dressing room and bathroom and the view was spectacular. The position is fabulous and you just walk out to the riverfront and all the great restaurants are there. Will stay again if we travel to Brisbane.

Stayed as family of four (teenagers) in one bedroom suite. Got early checkin and late checkout on Friday night which was great. There's no view in the room but wasn't much of an issue. The pool was great, but the swim up bar wasn't open on Friday, despite the homepage saying it is. It was open on Saturday but we were getting ready to checkout so really wasn't in the drinking phase. The executive lounge had good choice of food and drinks. They only had beers and wines so no spirits, even basics. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly and there was no lock which was bit inconvenient. The sofa bed was bit small for 2 ppl and the king bed was very spacious. Overall it was great hotel for an overnight stay as family. Would highly recommend

We stayed 4 nights in a 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms appartment PRO: - great location, we walked everywhere (restaurants, shops, museums, train station) - pretty and stylish decoration - very well insulated - a washing machine (clean!) and a dryer - very confortable beds - a small but nice gym - a pool (we didn't try it) - very nice staff But unfortunately a few disappointments, the devil is in the details especially when you pay a reasonable high amount of money per night: - the dishwasher was a bit useless, nothing was dry. - the faucets (kitchen and bathrooms) are so short that it is impossible not to put water everywhere especially when you rinse something. - the kitchen's bin was ridiculously small (and it's not a place to cook, but good enough for breakfast and an easy/quick dinner) - mould in the bathrooms and dirt on the vents - big stains on the quilts

This room has a balcony and the bedroom window can be opened, but it takes some strength and skills to open the window. The guy at the front desk taught me how to open the window, demonstrated the safety measures of the door, and ensured that the tap water is drinkable. The balcony is sealed and very safe, all the windows can be opened and ventilation is ensured, but there is a problem with the washing machine, no one can tell me what the white thing is, fortunately I don't have to wash clothes if I only stay for one night.

This is a perfect hotel if you want to stay in Brisbane city center! The room was huge (apartment style) and fits until 4 people (the sofa bed was queen sized). The view was wonderful and BEST location with that price. Next to the hotel was convenience stores, and near Queenstreet mall as well.
The heater didn't work at the first night, while the weather was 12°C. But the next day it worked, just not warm enough for us asians đ , still 24-25°C. Good enough.
Breakfast was great, but we expected it to be a buffet breakfast, turned out it was a la carte style.
The staff were very kind to let me and my elderly parents check in early at around 12 PM, after 4 hours standing at the airport due to some problems.
Overall, very nice experience.

Perfect location and friendly staff!
The apartment was well equipped and generally clean however it smelt heavily of disinfectant and chemicals on arrival, plus the lift area on our floor smelt very badly of trash.

Originally booked a twin bed, but gave a double bed. After talking to Mina at the front desk, she directly gave us another room in the suite. The location is good, and you can see the story bridge without walking to the river for 5 minutes.

The location is so good, there are many construction sites around, but it was not noisy because the soundproofing was good
And kitchen utensils and utensils were well stocked, so it was good to use
Most of all, I liked it because it was clean.
It was nice that the room was large and the room was separated from the living room and kitchen.
The warm water comes out well
If the weather wasn't cold on the balcony, it would have been great to sit and have brunch and have coffee.
It was nice to be able to do laundry
The downside is that the air in the room is a little cool, so you get a little runny nose in winter??
I like you!!

GGuest UserWhilst our stay in the Hotel X Suite was pleasant, there was nothing memorable about it. The suite was spacious, fitted with modern conveniences (ie. electric blockout curtains, Dyson hairdryer, zip tap and smart tv) and was generally comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked privacy as it overlooked the street and directly faced another building across the road so the blinds were always drawn preventing natural light from coming in. Also, there is no separate toilet with lockable door. Although, the toiletries were nice and the shower quite spacious. Service was friendly but lacked a personal touch. Breakfast at Bisou Bisou had a limited menu but the food was overall good. The rooftop bar (Iris) had great views, a good tapas menu and relaxing vibe. The location of the hotel is convenient, within walking distance of the buzzing James Street precinct and a short car ride to the city centre.
This hotel is stunning. The staff at check in & out were super friendly. Room was modern, very clean and the bed was huge & extremely comfortable. Close to shops, restaurants. Public transport and the city. Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the deluxe room on level 1. Only let down is, there is no restaurant at the hotel so no breakfast room service.

GGuest UserI had a perfectly pleasant stay until thhe day before I checked out when someone from reception entered the room (while I was in there) under the impression that I was supposed to have checked out. It was probably a simple mistake, which while invasive is also understandable. No apology, but they are mostly meaningless anyway and it probably wasn't the fault of the person who entered the room. Hadbit ended there I wouldn't have mentioned it, but the same thing happened again when despite the 'do not disturb' sign on the door housekeeping also entered the room also under the mistaken impression that I had checked out. I called reception after the second incident and was put on hold for 18 minutes before they eventually tried to put the blame on housekeeping (and repeatedly got my name wrong, which I wouldn't have cared about if it weren't for the being on hold and the weasily attempt to put what was clearly a reception error on the housekeeping staff). The whole incident left a lingering bad impression, which is unfortunate after an otherwise very pleasant and uneventful stay.
RRosemary EastonOn arrival, there was no booking. Cancelled dates, however, were located by reception. The dates booked was arrive 11th and check out on the 12th . This booking had been changed and trip.com sent confirmation. This had not been recorded. not the fault of the Wellington, but yours. Receptionist was able to retrieve payment for 10th. There is still another payment that has been taken from our account. I was promised this would be refunded in 10 to 14 days. I will be waiting for this. Fortunately, there was one room vacant and we did have a bed for the night. I will not be using trip.com for any further bookings.
The Wellington is in need of some updating. Chairs in room were average. Mattress should be replaced. Showers should be updated. The Tv would not connect to any free to air channels without major interference. Luckily Netflix worked. Providing a continental breakfast for over nighters would be appreciated and hopefully a restaurant will be reinstated.I have been staying there occasionally for twenty-two years and see the detioration of what was/ could be a four-star accommodation.
SSue MGreat place to stay. We were attending a matinee at the Lyric Theatre and Atrio was a much better and cheaper option than staying in town. Just a short walk from Fortitude Valley train station and the city cat ferry at Howard Smith Wharves. Pig and Whistle pub just across the road, plus two coffee shops. Will definitely stay again.
GGuest UserRoom 13 - yea shall I say no more room 13 and itâs not great!! Bad points- No manned reception, was advised 3 hours before arrival must precheck in or will be denied a room after I fully paid for all rooms are pin only. I donât have a problem great idea. The beds are one of the worst Iâve ever slept in. I travel to some of the worst places and there are beds better then these the main bed springs felt like they were breaking through the bed every turn was the noisiest would wake everyone in the room. The mattress felt over 30 years old worn and like you would fall through it. Great grandmas mattress is better The single bed was better but 4 people can sleep in one comfortable bed No extra pillows or blankets The floor had not been vacuumed all stuff in one area of the floor - room smelt clean (spritz spray) Dust everywhere, bugs in the room and holes in the bath towels. Mould in the shower all over the door The bathroom door had to be opened and closed with force Curtains have marks all over them not clean Aircon was particularly broken more cosmetic looks, chilled amazingly The room is right next to a main door everyone that comes in or out - slams the door all hours No soft closing hinge would be good if there was one wouldnât be woken up with the slam every-time no Foxtel - no one made up your room like other motels the next day (no big deal just an fyi) When I arrived I had a toddler, child and 2 large bags and asked if there was lifts the staff lol and said the stairs are there and stayed sitting on the ground. I walked up the exit car park ramp with all bags and children ( no Iâm not precious just not convenient) Holes in the wall in the main room near dining table Holes in walls in the bathroom Good pointsâŠ. Great price Great location walking distance to Hamilton precinct IGA, Woolworths metro, lots of eateries and Eat St (amazing place of all types of food vans) Great distance walking distance to the ferries Out dates Furniture looked like it was from the 1970s (I donât have an issue just an FYI) A little bar fridge with separate freezer was amazingly cold I wouldnât rate this place 3.5/4 stars maybe 2.5-3 disappointed but you get what you pay for. I have some photos for proof of asked to supply .

GGuest UserI was having a late check in, confirming this 2 days prior to overnight stay, and was told by receptionist (who answered the phone in that morning) that I would receive a text/email with details of how to get into the hotel. However this never occurred, and the day of arrival I rang 8 times during office hours (2.30-5pm) to get instructions, all of which were never answered. And on ringing Qantas hotel assistance, I was on hold for 42 mins to them as they also, could not get any reply to phone calls etc to the hotel reception, again all during afternoon office hours before 5pm. Ringing after 5pm got through to the afterhours contact people who told me there was a phone at the hotel door to ring them and they would give me the details on arrival. Which was exactly all that was needed. The information given by the receptionist originally was of no help, and the reception phone not being answered most of the afternoon was extremely poor. The phone in my room was completely dead and not working when I went to book a taxi back to the airport. The aircon was on full bore and couldnt be turned off. But the duvet was thick and warm which at least made it warm enough to sleep. The room was tidy and clean, but given the very poor reception assistance and communication (and not actually answering their phones during the afternoon) I would certainly not recommend this hotel unless you actually arrive during daytime hours when hopefully there MAY be a staff member who could assist you. Either that or wait for the afterhours contracted people who were so much more helpful.

The staff at these premises were impossible to contact by phone. Finally returned and email to say we had to email copies of photo I.d and photos of our credit card before they would give us after hours check in details. Helloooo, this is 2024 no way are you holding me to ransome like that. Cancelled 3 nights and booked with a hotel in the cbd for the same cost who has 24bhr reception with standard business practices. I'm not expecting 24 hour reception everywhere I stay, but you need to wake up to the scams on today's world and not ask for guests to compromise themselves like that. I would have been more than happy to drop into reception on the morning and attend to security requirements. Not impressed and won't consider this accommodation in the future.
