Bali Buleleng 4-star Hotels

Quiet, safe and clean. Refurbished and feeling good. Pools are amazing. Staff are friendly, competent and eager to help. Right on the beach. Having been a frequent visitor over the years I am very happy with the incredible improvements over the last years. It just keeps getting better. If you want to relax and recharge, this hotel is superb. Get a tan, workout in exercise room overlooking beach, or treat yourself to a professional treatment at the Spa. It is close to the centre of Lovina (walking distance) but far enough so you dont hear music pumping in the early hours. I have been coming to Bali and Lovina for 30 years and my choice for a reasonably priced and well appointed hotel is Sunari.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and enjoyed it so much! The pool was huge and the hotel is in a great location. The staff organised the dolphin trip for us and could arrange different activities to do in Lovina. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff were some of the friendliest people we have met in our 3 months of travelling! From Alice and Mia :)

Our beach-side bungalow gave us the feeling of actually living in Bali. The architecture was just like all the Balinese homes we visited. The staff treated us like royalty. They called us by name and appreciated our presence. The highlight was the ”romantic dinner” complete with guitar accompaniment. The couples massage was very relaxing.

The architecture of these small houses with their small terrace forms a beautiful set. The room is clean but the bathroom leaves to be desired. The floor and walls are in concrete. In short, it is not pleasant. The meals are in buffet form and are correct. The staff are in small care. If you are offered a boat trip to go to the delfins, you will have the chance to see if the weather is beautiful. In our case, the time was grey and the dauphins were still fished in the bottom.

The location was in a very scenic spot, it was quiet, and didn't get much rain while the rest of Bali got more rain, so I was very happy. The only problem is that its a 2-3 hour drive from the airport with a lot of winding around corners and going up and down hills - true torture for someone like me that gets carsick. People just need to be prepared for the drive, but it's worth it. If you're the type of traveler that wants nightlife and partying, then stick close to the airport in Denpasar instead. If you want a relaxing beach vacation like me (still plenty of alcohol at the beach bar), then this is your place. The food was absolutely superb for lunch and dinner! The breakfast was average, more western style, but maybe I'm biased because I'm not a breakfast person anyways. You can always just sleep in and go for lunch. The pizzeria's pizza was perfection, and all other menu foods I tried, I loved. The service was great, everyone was very kind and helpful. On my last night when I was feeling too ill to eat, the restaurant staff made a free pot of tea for me and I was so grateful. The resort also called a doctor for me, which I didn't even know was an option, and I was so grateful. Lastly, the resort was stunning! Everything made of stone felt so safe and clean, everything was family friendly, there's two beautiful pools, and the beach was unparalleled. The beach bar & restaurant was perfectly situated so you can watch both the sunset and the sunrise and you can relax while your kids or friends play. Lots of outdoor space to relax, and the resort provided a free shuttle service to nearby places. There was even a gift shop that also sold sunscreen and aloe vera. And the accommodations! The bed was wonderful, the room was spacious, all amenities provided, and the shower was wonderful.

Lovely resort with great facilities and very hospitable and friendly staff. Beautiful sunset views. Too far to walk into the main area of Lovina beach due to the busy road but only a few minutes away in a taxi which was very good value.

I went to Bali seven or eight times, and lived in the north for the first time. This time I did n’t have a large hotel. Just a dozen rooms. Our family of three took a friend with us and gave us a suite. In the four rooms, the gate is facing the small, delicate swimming pool. I arrived late at night and fell asleep. The next day I got full of frangipani in the yard. It was very pleasant. The breakfast was not big, but it was enough. It is very close to the black beach of Lovina. It is only 5 minutes on foot. The boat for watching dolphins is also on the shore. We have a booking boat, so we did not book it at the hotel. It costs about 50 RMB per person. OK, we saw a lot of dolphins. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, the hotel manager was very enthusiastic and kept asking us if we were unhappy and what could help. The hotel is small, very quiet, comfortable, beautiful and attentive. The only disadvantage is some mosquitoes, but it will be fine after using the electric mosquito coil.

For those who like exploring take a day trip to Bedugul traditional markets and on the way call in at Munduk and view a giant tree claimed to be 750 years old, visit Pura Ulan Danu temple on picturesque Lake Bratan and finish off with a visit to the botanical gardens. Guests can dine at our world class beachfront restaurant or take a short walk and enjoy Indonesian cuisine at any one of a number of local restaurants. For for the more adventurous you can enjoy Indonesian food with the locals in ”eat street” where the locals enjoy alfresco dining. Alternately take a short car ride to Central Lovina where there are a number of quality restaurants serving a variety of food

Villa Jakaranda and Maracuja Are wonderful. It’s located in a very serene back street and like a small paradise with beautiful gardens and structures. The hosts are wonderful and ever so accommodating to any questions or requests. They also helped me with some tours to explore Lovina and surroundings. The beach is about 15 min walk away. Breakfast is very nourishing and amazing. I’ll be sure to visit again.
