"Since the price includes breakfast, you can't be too picky. Breakfast ends at 7 am during Ramadan, and when we went it was a little before 6:30 am, so there wasn't much left to eat. The air conditioning wasn't very cool either. The advantages are that it's within a kilometer walk of the Batu Rahman Grand Mosque and not too far from the Aceh Museum; we took a taxi there and walked back."

"Gassania Hostel was the best accommodation I have been stayed in Banda Aceh during my holiday. The place was so clean and tidy. The staffs named Rahmat and Nisa were very friendly. There was no lift but Rahmat helped to carry my bags to my room on the first floor during check in and check out. The room is comfortable enough and fulfill everything that I need as solo traveller. Eventho, there was no tv but the wifi was fast. The toilet was spotless, the water pressure for shower was good and the air freshener inside the toilet smelled so nice. The bed was comfortable to sleep and the AC worked well. The only downside was the room does not have good soundproofing. You can hear other guests talked and open/ close the door loudly. The location of this hostel was very quiet and a bit dark during night time. Overall, a very good place to stay and I am so satisfied. Will stay here again whenever I am back in Banda Aceh. Recommended!"

"We arrived early at the hotel after travelling from Medan. The reception staff were amazing and (via Google translate) helped us massively with taxi's, ferry tickets and food. The room is basic, but very clean, quiet, comfortable-we all slept well. The breakfast was great and once again the reception staff helped us get a last minute rickshawx2 to the ferry port. Possibly the best hotel and service on our four week holiday in Indonesia and Asia."

"The actual room was completely different from the pictures; it was old and dilapidated, with the faucet even hanging out of the window. Three rooms were booked, and the locks on two of them were broken, only being fixed after we returned from dinner. Fortunately, the bedding was clean enough to allow us to stay one night. The receptionist's English wasn't great, making communication difficult, but he was a nice person. I would suggest avoiding this hotel if you have other options."
