Hostal Mayerling Centro Reviews

It was close to Catalunya Square within 7-8 minutes on foot, so it was nice to be able to get there without transferring from Barcelona Airport by airport bus. The temperature inside was low, but the information desk provided an additional heater, so I stayed warm without any problems. Also, as shown in the attached photo, the night view of the street, including the lighting store visible from the window, was beautiful.

Easy access to public transport made exploring the city a breeze

Loved the location. The receptionist was occasionally absent but returned to the desk swiftly enough. The walls were a bit thin so it could be noisy at night. But otherwise we had a great stay!

It was fine for one night, but you can hear the people on the streets and in restaurants very loud until 2am.

Location wise, it’s good as it is close to everywhere within CBD, but it gets super noisy during the night. So be careful of the rooms next to the street side.

Toilet is very small only good thing is u are in the city near to almost all main tourist spots

We had a great stay at Mayerling - such an amazing amazing location - 5-10 mins from all the great shops, and even some nice food right outside ! Busy streets at night but we couldn’t hear the noise much at all. Room had everything we needed and good for the price. All the staff were excellent and very friendly; especially Ayub who was especially kind to us! Highly recommend

Wonderful location as it is near to Plaza de Catalunya bus stop from the airport and Urquinaona metro station. You will only need to have a short walk to tourist attractions like the Cathedral and La Rambla. It is also an ideal location for foodies as there are many varieties of cafe and restaurants around. Staff are always helpful so if you have any queries about your trip you don't have to worry. Cleaning room services are done every 2 days but the overall cleanliness of the facilities is wonderful. Of course, you do have to have the etiquette of keeping the common areas clean and washing up after yourselves when you are done. If you are someone who enjoys listening to happy chats or vibes with the after football match crowd at the peace of your own room, this would be the place for you as well :)

Location is great but it is a hostel so the bathroom has been leaking during our stay staff was friendly.

You cannot fault the the receptionists remarkable professionalism and helpfulness.

Extended our stay until the end of vacation because the prices were very good for the location. The Bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed going around the places. Close to Urquinaona Metro station, Placa de catalunya, arc de triomf and for anime fans it's close to some anime and manga stores. Holy Madre is a recommended shop. Woman at the reception very nice and helpful.

Good location and central to everything but the room has no window

Room was really small for a couple. The lift cannot accomodate 2 person per ride. The lady who welcomed us tried to charge us for our accomodation. I had to show her the receipt that the accomodation was paid a month before our travel. She told us that she'll get back to us, but we never heard from her while we were staying in the hotel. Other staffs are nice and friendly.
