I would say the hotel overall is good, but I had a negative experience with the receptionist, Eduardo. Upon check-in, he asked for my card details. I initially thought he only needed the last four digits to verify the booking, but it turned out he was asking for the full card number, including the CVV and expiration date. I found this highly concerning and, to my understanding, it is not standard practice—possibly even against the law—to request such sensitive information without a clear explanation.
When I refused to provide my card details, he then demanded a €100 deposit. Additionally, he made me wait until 3 PM to check in, even though I noticed him checking in other guests before me. I felt that his attitude was somewhat rude, possibly because I didn’t comply with his request.
To be honest, I got the impression that he might be taking advantage of tourists. I’ve stayed at many hotels, and none of them have ever asked me for my full card details in this way. This experience made me feel very uncomfortable and disappointed.
