Beach Hotels in Geelong

The hotel is a straight 15-minute walk from the station, though it's mostly cars zipping by and very few pedestrians. Geelong in winter can be quite warm when the sun's out, but it gets windy and a bit chilly on cloudy days. This isn't a big hotel; it's a two-story apartment building. Check-in is at 2 PM, but you can drop your luggage off at the front desk if you arrive early. I booked a one-bedroom apartment but was upgraded to a two-bedroom. It had a living room and dining area, complete with a microwave, oven, fridge, stove, and all sorts of pots, pans, and tableware. They even provided salt, pepper, and dish soap – a really thoughtful touch. There's also a washer and dryer, which is great for longer stays if you need to wash larger items. The appliances were different from what I'm used to back home, so it took a little time to figure out how to use them.

Geelong is a must-go town on the Ocean Road, and it is also the departure point for taking a boat to Tasmania Island. The BEST WESTERN brand is similar to the domestic Atour positioning. The service facilities are above the average. Parking is free and the parking space is enough. The hotel is in a good location. The room is much larger than expected. There is a balcony.

My star at Rydges Geelong was excellent. Staff very polite & accommodating facilities excellent. Cleanliness excellent throughout all areas. Highly recommend

Service at front desk was exceptional - very accommodating. Room was very disappointing. Dirty tissues left in room, air conditioner did not work and it was a hot afternoon/evening, bathroom fan didn't work - only 1 of the lights in the bathroom lights/heater worked. I didn't expect 5 start but I expected a lot more than that. Loved the location but needs alot more care taken with the rooms
