"Newly opened hotel in Mataking. 40-minute speedboat ride. Chinese-speaking butler, free use of snorkeling gear and glass boat. From 3-4 p.m., you can go catching shells and crabs. The room comes with free woven bags and hats. One night wasn't enough. I wanted to stay an extra night, but the room was fully booked. Next time, I'd stay 3-4 nights. Excellent service, with thoughtful attention to detail. The owner clearly cares deeply."
