In short, just look for another hotel. This place has the worst hygiene standards I have ever encountered.
We've traveled extensively across China, staying in eight different hotels, and this was by far the worst in terms of cleanliness.
Our first room was not fully cleaned and smelled like cigarette smoke. Due to the strong smell, staying there was impossible. The staff was very friendly and gave us a room upgrade. Despite the upgrade, the room still lacked cleanliness. Hair from previous guests remained in the shower, and the window frames were filth, dead bugs on the window blinds, and live bugs in the shower. The window frames were filthy. Furthermore, the overall condition of the rooms is quite rundown. The bathrooms have no doors, which can create privacy issues if you are sharing the room. The shower drainage was poor, and the water took a long time to drain, meaning that you had to turn off the water mid-shower to avoid flooding the bathroom. After reporting this issue to the staff, it was never resolved.
Everything that is not part of the room installations, such as towels and bedding, was nice and clean. Slippers, shower gel, hair dryers, toothbrushes, etc. were provided. The hotel is in a good location, close to Sanlitun and the city center. The staff was mostly friendly and eager to help, but they could not make up for the poor quality of the accommodation.
