GGuest UserDoes exactly what you need for a one or two night stay. A bit cramped to stay any longer but perfect for an affordable over night when seeing a show or event
GGuest UserAlways stay at the Holiday Inn, absolutely fantastic for location, cleanliness, well appointed rooms and helpfulness of the staff. Wonderful stay once again!!
GGuest Userthe room is good enough for 3 persons, though the sofa beds are actually smaller than the photos. well equipped with 2 head cooking hobs, small fridge, dish washer, microwave with grill function and sufficient utensils, and also instant coffee were provided.
the water pressure of the shower is super good and water is hot enough but the toilet is a bit small, you have to hide just next to the toilet bowl then you have enough space to open the door.
The down side is the service of the reception & housekeeping team. After we got the room cards, we couldn't access to the room and needed to go down to ask the receptionist to fix the cards and come back to open the room. After entered the room, we found that the water in toilet sink didn't go, we asked the housekeeping staff who was just working at the next room to have a look at it but who said we needed to go to the receptionist (as there's no inter-room telephone, we have to go down again). Then the receptionist arranged another room which was downstairs for us.
We booked for 2 nights, when we came back to the hotel the next evening, the room cards didn't work, again. The receptionist claimed that it might be due to the cards being put together with the mobile phone that might damage the cards. However, we were sure the cards weren't put together with the phones!
It would be perfect if a small box of tissue could be provided.
SSfrixelReally unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, there was a huge amount of dust anywhere that I was sneezing continuously.
Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it.
Very very very unsatisfied.
MMike LutzA very pleasant stay in a clean room with decent amenities. The bed was comfy and I didn’t hear noise from other guests, it was good to have blackout blinds too. The location was perfect for my conference and walking distance to the city centre (about 15 mins). The breakfast is decent and there are snacks and drinks available as well.
GGuest UserHotel is not in a bad location for trips out…
But the hotel needs a lot of improvements! The breakfast buffet you are left waiting for them to replenish food items , you have to keep asking staff where are the cups for tea as none replaced there was queues because of the location of the toaster, be careful if you ask for water to be replaced in room as I was charged but then got a refund after complaining..the executive room was good but I know the standard rooms are not great. The staff were good but there needs better organisation. The pool area dated and no set time they seem to pick and choose open close times. We had quite a few issues not all mentioned here which we told reception about we was not happy and noticed other customers complaining.. we would not stay again and certainly not 4 star 3 at most .. can’t comment on spa treatments as did not use but looking at the spa I’m sure there are better ones around. Golf course 9 hole in good condition but outside hotel area need tidying up bit scruffy.
AAnonymous UserIt was a little hard to access the property as it's a back entrance I had to google the company as the number on the app doesn't go through when trying to call them however once I did manage to get through they were very helpful .
My family and I enjoyed staying at the property , it was our first time staying at a place like this we normally just use hotels , we did notice some pots and baking pans had been put back dirty in the cupboard but otherwise it was clean and had all the things needed there we were please that the pictures match what the property looked like , we had one time where we were locked out of the property as the code wasn't working and no one was answering the phone but after I sent an email the issue was resolved .
There were four supermarkets nearby closest to the Morrisons , Aldi , Lidl and farm foods , 25 mins walk to Cadbury world which the kids loved going to there were lots of parks nearby one is only a 5 mins walk away , bus stops nearby if you needed to travel by bus which we did utilise and overall we enjoyed our stay there we would stay again in the future .
Note. If you have kids there are stairs in the property so keep that in mind we just closed the door near to the stairs .
JJSTWComfort Inn Location is great, just next to Birmingham New Street train station and within 3 mins walking distance to Birmingham China town, so plenty of restaurants and cafe surround this hotel.
The only downside is the shower area, the curtain was short and water spilling everywhere when take shower.
Overall I would rate 4.0 for Comfort Inn due to excellent location and reasonable price
GGuest UserThe beds were ultra comfortable and I had the best night of sleep I’ve had in weeks. Room was small but unless you’re planning on spending a lot of time in the room, it was perfect. Bathroom was great, very clean and had a rain shower head which I loved. They didn’t really provide any toiletries other than hand wash and body wash, I had to buy my own shampoo and conditioner. There’s also no fridge/microwave, but there was tea and coffee with a kettle provided. I would definitely recommend and I would stay again.
TTaz MalikThough an old hotel ,refurbishment is continuing from 2024. Hence, good rate for rooms. Conveniently situated in New Street close to McDonald's, Boots, poundland,Odean cinema, tram,Hair dressers/ Barbers Close to shops and train stations in the city centre.
Spacious warm rooms. Very clean .Very helpful staff and housekeeping.
Would highly recommend staying here if you want a cheap stay in a great hotel. I kept extending my stay in same room. They should have Do Not disturb signs - then if staying over in the sane room can put a sign on the door or ask for a top-up using another sign on the outside of the door handle. Was annoyed on one occasion as I had cramps in both legs and booked to stay in sane room on the phone. Then spoke to a man(asian) at reception . He refused my request to get me new key and demanded I came down to reception to swop keys- which could have been done later. Said I had to do for 10am - which was silly as that's not what other hotels do( as they know you booked to stay another night and swop keys later. Plus, it's not empathetic to my predicament - 70 years old. Diabetic. On a previous occasion kettle was very dirty inside- but had to go to reception to swop- no staff to come to room to do that.
