Bogota Usaquen Hotels

The Faranda Hotel is a good option to stay in the North part of Bogotá. However, the access to the hotel is a bit tricky because of the road work at the moment of writing this review (07/2023). The room was basic/average. The hotel advertised to have a sauna but it did not. The gym was underwhelming. The restaurant looks really nice but the way the breakfast buffet is set is not the best. It look cramped in a small part of the restaurant. The choices for breakfast are very few.

The location is not the best since there are not much restaurants a around. The avenue is with work progressive so expect some noises if you have the window open. The breakfast has a good variety of food and service good Room spacious with a corfotable bed

The price is very high. Large space, more than 300 suites. Can cook, there is a microwave oven and a gas stove. The location is better, very close to the bus stop. recommend

The transportation is convenient, there are many local small restaurants nearby, as well as Chinese restaurants. Everyone including the front desk staff was very welcoming. The room was clean and tidy and very quiet. This is my second time staying here.

I had always felt very good in this hotel, everyone had been so kind and respectful until today, December 3, 2023, at checkout, when the vulgar and unpleasant receptionist faced a mistake that we did not make, because according to her the payment was not I had made prior to check in I was going to call the police, the day we entered we asked if the payment had been made and they told us yes. Well on the other hand I want to give a special recognition to the girl in charge of the restaurant Dyana who should be in a position as reception since she is the most decent and kind person, always attentive to everything and with all her charisma she gets my 10/10 , this is quality staff, the same for Carlos, the bellboy who is full of kindness and efficiency. I recommend you be more efficient in providing. Location Safe zone except at night in the luxury condominium town of the new city. Early morning walk is comfortable. There is also a supermarket nearby, and there are various things. Uber is about 20000 pesos for tourist spots. The room is generally clean, but there is no air conditioning. It's not so cold even in November, but it's impossible to wear thin clothes in the room. Impeccable. The only downside is that the location is far from tourist attractions. The staff can speak some simple English. Thanks to this, they found a place to apply for a local mobile phone card under their recommendation.

I am bias with this place. I did an intership in this hotel 28 years ago and I absolutely love Hotel Hacienda Santa Barbara. It is still quite elegant and the area where is located is one of the best in the city. The service, the room, the bathroom, they are all great. I really love the breakfast buffet for the top quality of the food and the variety of native Colombian fruits. The staff (Edwin in the front desk, Don Pedro and Ana in the restaurant..) are extremely helpful and efficient. I will alway try to book this place whenever in Bogotá. Thank you
