Located within Valley Overlook camping and lodging area nestled on the side of the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley, guests will find themselves immersed in nature and central to all that the Cuyahoga Valley National Park has to offer.We are located in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Travel just minutes to many trailheads for hiking and biking, or bring your kayak for a day on the river. Check out local restaurants in the historic village of Peninsula, just 4 miles to our north. Hop on your bike and take the Towpath Trail as far north as Cleveland or south to Akron. Enjoy local restaurants, breweries, farm markets and more!We're a half-mile from the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail, great for biking to local destinations to the north and south. Free parking is available at many trailheads in the National Park. Street parking in the Village of Peninsula is paid via phone. Ride sharing availability can be limited, so we recommend planning your own transportation. Walking to Blossom Music Center is neither practical nor recommended. We use security cameras to monitor our driveway; there are no recording devices of any kind inside or pointed directly at any living space.This cabin is self check-in with parking available on site.If you are traveling with two vehicles, please park the second one in the large lot next to the office located in the large brick building. Maximum of 2 vehicles please.Visitors and extra guests are not permitted without prior written approval.No trailers or oversize vehicles without written approval before arrival.The cabin will be ready any time after 4pm. We can sometimes coordinate an early check-in for a fee of $30. Brandywine Falls, the "crown jewel" of the park, is within a 10 minute walk from your front door.There are 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed. Plenty of surrounding parks, ball field complexes, trails, shopping, restaurants, night life, minor league baseball, concerts, and more!This reservation includes use of one bedroom on the first floor with a with a queen-sized bed. Use of the relaxing living room on main floor with loveseat, sofa, & 50" Smart TV, adjacent to the fully stocked kitchen. The entire 2nd floor, additional bedroom on the first floor, and garage will not be accessible with this reservation unless prior arrangements are made. Feel free to place items in the carts while they are on the curb. There are TWO waste carts located against the house by the driveway: = The larger wheeled cart is for regular household trash. There are extra trash bags located under the kitchen sink. PLEASE TIE trash bags closed PRIOR to placing in the outside cart. Loose food remnants and liquids in the cart will attract rodents, bees, flies, and maggots, not to mention - smell very badly if pickup doesn't come for a few days. = The smaller wheeled cart is marked for RECYCLE ONLY. The City of Akron requires that boxes be flattened and bottles/containers emptied. Used food containers must have all food remnants removed. Please DO NOT put regular household trash into the recycle bin or place any items inside other bags. Acceptable items as defined by the City are identified on the label located on the lid of the recycle bin. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE.
