CookEmI recently stayed at Abode Belconnen and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing – it was a perfect 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, not just as guests but as pet parents. Finding a truly dog-friendly hotel that still feels modern, clean, and a little bit luxurious is so rare, but Abode nails it.
The room was spotless and beautifully designed with a calm, contemporary vibe. It didn’t have that “pet room” feel that some places have – everything looked and smelled fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp and felt super comfortable and high class.
What really impressed me was how easy they made travelling with my dog. They provided everything we needed, and had a dog toilet area on level 5 (Sunset photo i posted). Staff were helpful and never once made me feel like traveling with a dog was a burden. The location is also super convenient with shops, restaurants, and even a Woolies just downstairs, plus secure parking. It’s one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that manages to feel both practical and stylish.
If you’re looking for a dog-friendly place in Canberra that still feels like a quality stay, Abode Belconnen is honestly unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend

Guest UserRecently stayed at Hyatt Hotel Canberra and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel strikes a great balance between old-world charm and modern comfort, with the heritage architecture giving the property a unique character that you simply do not get with many newer hotels.
The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere throughout the hotel felt calm, professional and relaxing. Staff were welcoming, attentive and genuinely helpful from check-in through to departure, which made the stay seamless.
The location is also excellent, particularly for anyone travelling for business, government-related work or simply wanting easy access to Canberra’s key attractions and parliamentary precinct.
A standout was the buffet breakfast, which offered a strong variety and quality selection. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and I would happily return when next visiting Canberra.

J-ReyThe hotel was fancier than I expected it to be! I loved the design -- it reminded me of the Guggenheim in NYC. The room was also nice. I got the most basic room, and it was honestly more luxurious than I'm used to. This is a definite must stay if you're coming through Canberra.

The hotel is located to the north west of the city centre. Though it is a bit far from the city it is quite convenient, there’s a supermarket (woolies) nearby. Parking is difficult but they provide parking for extra fee per night with unlimited in and out. The hotel is clean, quiet, comfortable and sufficient for our travel purpose to attend an event nearby. I like the double beds (two separate beds) option but this type of room only comes with a disable-friendly bathroom. I wish their double beds are bigger in size and they have a regular bathroom option with a bathtub.

Wen-maAn excellent hotel! It's not far from the city center, offers free parking, and the rooms are spacious with fresh, vibrant decor. The breakfast was the absolute highlight – it's à la carte, portions are huge, and absolutely delicious. You can skip lunch after that!

Very clean, chic hotel with a popular restaurant and bar. It is conveniently located on Northbourne Avenue , Elouera St and Mort Street which is directly the line of Canberra's night clubs if you are coming on a weekend. There's only two sets of lifts for Hotel Clients which isn't a problem for an Asian ( moi) who is used to very crowded areas. But this can be a bit inconvenient for locals who are used to express service. Pool, gym, sauna. Major plus points. And the best part of all is the free bar fridge in the room. (Not sure if it was a promotion but my friend and I could drink all of what was offered for free!) We didnt because we are massive alcohol fans.
The only major downside is the 25 dollar parking fee. No, no no. You can raise the price a bit higher for the quality of rooms but it's a bit offputting to have that as an additional fee.
Overall, a pretty great experience from service to aminities.

The hotel's location is pretty good, with a park right next to it that hosts a market on weekends. The hotel rooms also have a kitchen, which is great for preparing your own meals. The cleanliness was decent. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting for leisure or travel.

akbonieThis hotel is super convenient! A shopping center called Maunka Terrace is just a 3-minute drive away, and it has Coles, Subway, and McDonald's. There were also Japanese, Italian, pub food, and other Asian restaurants in that area.
Parking usually costs $25 per night for guests, but thanks to a Trip.com perk, I only paid $10 a night, which was great! You can't reserve parking, but there was plenty of space, so I had no issues.
The breakfast menu was pretty much the same every day, which was a bit disappointing, but there was still a good variety and plenty of food.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Clean room, comfortable bed, wifi, aircon and as a bonus they have a buffet breakfast. Great location with on-site parking included and the German pub right next door for dinner within walking distance

たかさかさかすI stayed at the Ibis Budget Canberra. It's a bit far from the city center, but easily accessible by car or bus, and the affordable price is a big plus. The room, though compact, was clean and perfectly adequate for a short stay. The staff were friendly, and check-in was smooth.
There are restaurants and a supermarket nearby, making it easy to pick up anything you need. I'd especially recommend it for backpackers, student travelers, or solo travelers looking to save on accommodation costs. It's a convenient base for exploring Canberra and I felt it offered great value for money. I would definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance.
