"Hotel service was very bad. Rooms were not clean. Although We asked slippers twice, they didnt bring. There was A construction going on nearby. It was so noisy.

I’ve stayed in many places before, but this was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. Some of the staff were incredibly rude and couldn’t care less about the guests. They acted like they were doing us a favor just by being there.
The bathroom, especially the toilet, was unbelievably cramped and dirty – completely unacceptable.
Honestly, this place doesn’t deserve a single star. It was a waste of money and time. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone – even walking past this hotel would ruin your day. Stay away!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The breakfast was very good. A special thank you to the staff at the front desk – they responded to all requests instantly. I checked out early in the morning, and they provided a packed lunch. The only minor point is the slightly steep uphill walk after a long day out.

Stayed here for one night before an early morning flight and had a really lovely stay. I honestly didn’t realize until I arrived that Hotel Baškuća had been featured in TIME’s World’s Greatest Places 2025 and National Geographic Traveller’s European Cities Collection 2025; such a nice surprise and very well deserved.
The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Baščaršija (the old bazaar), which made it very convenient for exploring Sarajevo even with a short stay. The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the amenities were all thoughtfully prepared. Everything felt well-kept and welcoming.
I had to leave very early for my flight, so unfortunately I didn’t get to try the breakfast, but I heard from others that it’s excellent.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and I’d happily recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Sarajevo especially if you want somewhere comfortable, charming, and well located.

ZhouluyiThe location is excellent. The breakfast lady is younger and makes a rich breakfast. She also cleans and is very attentive. The only downside is that I contacted the hotel front desk and was told they would send me to the train station, which is only 2 km away, for 30 marks. (I was worried I wouldn't be able to get a taxi if I got there early, but there were already taxis outside the hotel at 6:00.)

Guest UserThe location is perfect and the room is nice but needs some tlc and general maintenance. Fan, hairdryer, aircon, toilet seat, door handle, window were broken. The bed was comfy but 2 very clear singles pushed together so would fall down the gap. The restaurant below plays music until 11pm which you can hear and could smell cigarette smoke in our room (even with the windows closed). The staff were very nice and friendly.

Incredible hotel with very kind and welcoming staff. Nice and large rooms with an incredible view of the forest, a very unique experience. Would like to extend a thanks to Sanin for making the best hot chocolate I've ever had, and Mladen for serving us in the three times (!!!) we used the downstairs restaurant which had probably the best pizza I've ever had. I never use the restaurant in the hotel but this was seriously exceptional and had plenty of options. I ended up ordering Pizza Trebevic twice on two separate days. The breakfast options were good too.
Special thanks also to Mellisa at the front desk who let us check out late because our flight was late in the evening and greeted us with nothing but kindness, and booked us taxis as we needed.
The only problem you might have with the hotel is that the location is high up in the mountains. Cab drivers probably won't be very pleased to take you up easily and you will feel guilty that they drove so far for you. The hotel is basically in the middle of nowhere but the hikes around the area make it worth it. On the map it looks like it is not far from the main town but it is really far compared to other options. Go to this hotel if you intend to hike often but just bear in mind that you are high up in the mountains, far away from the old town center

Guest UserI arrived around 1300 but there is no one on the ground floor as the hostel located in the 2nd floor. I waited and called the hostel via trip.com. Then the owner appeared and opened the door for me. I paid 5euro for deposit of the key. Once return the key, he will give you the money back.
In overall, they have normal hostel needs, kitchen, toilet, hair dryer, bathroom. One bathroom for 3 rooms which is a bit less. But we got time to use this. The bed is good. I like the bund bed is high. If a man sit on the lower bed, he could straighten his back. The room I assigned is quite windy at daytime I really like it. FYI, it looks like no AC on the room. But I dont need AC during the tim

Under a sheet and naked blanket,which by word was in some spots.For the exact same price you can find an option much better. Staff is kind and responsive. We were lucky to have chosen this hotel for just one night, not booked it for all the days of travel. But if you just need a place to sleep, it will be fine

SarihumOverall, it was pretty good. The hotel isn't very close to the city center, so a car is essential for comfortable travel. Since we had one, it wasn't an issue for us.
Downsides: the room lacked slippers, a kettle, and a toothbrush. Other than that, our stay left a pleasant impression.
