Taicang Hotels with Breakfast

A day before our arrival, the hotel called to confirm our check-in details. On the day of check-in, Tingting proactively contacted us via WeChat to coordinate, and flexibly adjusted our room according to our previously communicated needs. She even offered us a complimentary breakfast, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Although the sofa bed wasn't set up in advance, the housekeeping staff quickly responded and handled it. Tingting also coordinated and followed up immediately, and even specially sent a small cake to celebrate our child starting school, which made our child very happy. Throughout the entire process, Tingting was quick to respond and very considerate; her excellent service deserves high praise! Additionally, I'd also like to thank Xiaohu at the front desk for her warm hospitality during this stay and our previous one – it always makes us feel very welcome.

This is my fourth time staying at the Taicang Karuizawa Onsen Hotel, and I'm still extremely satisfied. This time, I came for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday with my mom, husband, and son. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and comfortable, the rooms are serene, well-equipped, and have a quality feel. The hygiene has always been excellent, making for a very reassuring stay. My favorite part is still the hot springs – warm, comfortable, and very authentic. For me, the cleanliness of the hot spring area is particularly important, and Karuizawa consistently meets expectations in this regard. Each soak leaves me feeling relaxed both physically and mentally, making it perfect for a short holiday getaway. The hotel's surroundings are also ideal for a vacation. It's about a 15-minute drive to Shaxi Ancient Town, which has lots of delicious food. Nearby is JinCang Lake Park, with its excellent ecological environment, perfect for a family stroll and relaxation. We drove from Shanghai, which took about an hour and a half, so the transportation is very convenient. That's why for the past two years, whenever a holiday comes around, we think of staying here for a few days. During this stay, the hotel service also felt very warm. The staff were friendly and thoughtful, and the restaurant service was especially attentive, proactively caring for and asking about our needs. When they learned my mom had a sensitive stomach, they even specially added plain congee, which was truly thoughtful. Because we've stayed multiple times over the past two years, the hotel even offered a complimentary private hot spring this time, making us feel their full sincerity and a truly welcoming atmosphere. In short, the Karuizawa Onsen Hotel has become our family's go-to for short holiday getaways. Everything from the rooms, hot springs, hygiene, and service to the surrounding environment leaves us very satisfied. We'll definitely be back if we get the chance in the second half of the year.

Although the room is small, it is very comfortable. It is not easy to climb the second floor, but the children like it very much. Then the design of the figurehead was interesting, without cutting a tree, though I didn't see the designer's nameplate, but it looked the same designer as the restaurant. Unfortunately, the smell in the room is too heavy, it may be the reason for using multi-layer solid wood boards. At the time of design, it may be for pure scenery to expand the viewing frame, so there is a small window for ventilation, in fact, the window above the bar can also be designed for ventilation. Yes, this way the circulation wind can reduce the taste. Outdoor activities are very good, but the most suitable season is summer, because in summer, you can dig bamboo shoots, watch lotus flowers, you can catch crabs, and you can play paddle boards. It’s not bad to come to Qingming Festival, there are no mosquitoes, and you can enjoy the cherry blossoms. But the paddle board can't play, because it will catch a cold when it falls into the water. However, the zip line crossing the river is very exciting and fun, and it is rare in other places. The boss is very enthusiastic and helps the children peel melon seeds and peanuts. According to employees, the boss bought some deer to free up in the forest farm, and my daughter said she saw the deer with horns at night, but she was in the age of nonsense, so I am not sure if it is.

A truly satisfying stay! The two young men at the front desk were incredibly warm and cheerful. We even got a room upgrade, and despite being near the elevator, it was surprisingly quiet. The carpet was wonderfully thick, and the room layout was very well thought out. This is definitely the top choice for anyone traveling to or on business in Taicang.

The room on May Day was very tight, but I missed it early on May Day and booked two rooms, one on the outside and one on the courtyard. Parking spaces include underground parking lots (right next to the hotel, near Starbucks) and surface parking lots (on Xinbei East Road, there is a small alley opposite the ”Yu Guoyuan” snack shop. The parking spaces are quite spacious) The hotel is connected to the Leyin Garden next door during the day. The hotel is very clean inside, the front desk is friendly, the room is large, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, the bed is very comfortable, and the pillows are suitable for us to sleep on. The hotel is very close to Shaxi Ancient Town. There are snacks, pastries, Taicang specialty meat floss, clothes sellers, and Yiwu small commodities. It is very lively. For breakfast, you can go to Auntie Zhang’s dim sum shop. The fried pancakes are quite delicious. Recommended!

Initially, after booking, I was a bit concerned seeing the mixed reviews on Ctrip, but after checking in, I actually found it to be pretty good. First of all, the day before arrival, customer service reached out to ask for our license plate number. They also added us on WeChat to send over the address, important instructions, and the necessary pass for Seventy-Two Villages. We arrived in the afternoon, and our room was still being prepared. While we waited, they kindly offered us complimentary soft drinks. We stayed in a LOFT room, which was perfect for our group of three adults and one child, with the addition of a tatami mat. The room offered a pleasant view of the fields. The room key was an old-fashioned type; you had to manually lock the door after closing it, otherwise, it could be opened from the outside. You also needed to lock it from the outside when leaving the room. This system felt a bit dated and could definitely be improved. On the LOFT level, the common area in the lobby featured an automatic mahjong table, which is great for larger groups. The central air conditioning in the room was quite loud, which I found difficult to get used to, and I barely slept the first night. By the second day, I had adjusted to the noise, but the AC was too cold. Even after adjusting the temperature upwards and changing the fan speed, it didn't make much of a difference. Upon check-out, they also gave us complimentary bottled water and a frog toy for the child, which was a very thoughtful gesture. The butler/concierge service is available until 9 PM, so if you need anything, it's best to contact customer service via WeChat earlier in the day.

Facilities: Pretty good, relatively new. Cleanliness: Clean, quite comfortable, even the toilet is electric. Environment: Quiet, not noisy, the surrounding environment is nice. Service: Good service, helpful with luggage, and they can store it for you.

The room is clean and comfortable, and the service staff is warm and kind. The location is a little off, but very close to Zheng He Park.
