PpeanutdogIt's right across the street from the train station. The room was quite large. They initially gave me a twin room, but I asked to change to a double room. Although it faces a main road, it was very quiet. The service was excellent. There was no free water, and no supermarkets nearby, so I bought water at a fast-food restaurant. The breakfast was quite substantial, with a wide variety of options, and it was open for a long time. It was already open when I arrived at 7 am. After breakfast, I walked the Camino de Santiago, and then explored the old town of Bologna. A very beautiful city. Highly recommended!

DDarren_in_BarcelonaThe hotel is in a good location if you want to be close to Bologna central railway station and the airport. The walk to the old town isn’t so far and you pass many nice things along the way. The area is safe and I walked back to the hotel after dark along the main thoroughfare and had no issues. The room was quite small but it’s enough for one person. The staff were friendly and I was able to store my bag. The only issue I had was the lack of air conditioning. The unit was present in the room but it was impossible to turn on due to it being April. Generally it wasn’t bad but the room was particularly stuffy in the morning and evening so it wasn’t so comfortable for sleeping. I understand that it’s April and it’s considered too early to turn on the air conditioning but it’s actually turned on in the lobby for the staff. So by that logic, it should be turned on in the rooms also. After living and traveling in Asia for many years it’s disappointing to see Italian hotels being stingy with money - especially considering the guests have paid money. It’s a shame because besides this I liked the hotel and the staff. I hope the savings made by turning off the air conditioning are worth it.

GGuest UserThe hotel was only a 15-20-minute walk from the train station. The rooms were much bigger than expected with a comfy couch (and blankets) and TV. There was also an Alexa set up and she played music when directed and was pleasant. The kitchenette had ample utensils and cookware, but no napkins or paper towels. They supplied cold water in a pitcher as well as several bottles of wine (NOT complementary, but reasonably priced. The prices on the list in the room differed from the prices at the front desk, tho.) The complementary slippers were used every day as the tile floors were chilly. There was always enough hot water in the showers, but one bathroom light was out the whole time we were there (reported it to the front desk on the first day and they said they already knew about it, but were waiting on maintenance to fix. We had to make due without it for the six days we were there.) There were instructions on how to use each of the appliances (much appreciated!). It was a short walk to restaurants and cafes and the shopping district. Great accommodations for the price point and lots of room.

NNoushleoEverything was really good .. we never used public transportation, so we can’t recollect the actual distance from the metro station, but the facilities in the hotels were super good .. breakfast was vivid , bathroom was big, and the room was spacious .. we booked for one night , and we renewed for next day .. recommended for everyone

GGuest UserGood location. Paid (50€) extra to be in the main hotel and not their apartment somewhere nextdoor, not sure if it was worth it. It had a bit of a new spa feeling. All very new, think they are going for a boutique hotel style, but not classy. Nice terrace though.

GGuest UserThe hostel provides you with the bare necessities, such as a comfortable bed, a spacious room and locker including a lock, and a small bedlight and socket. Unfortunately, that is also literally it and nothing more. There are no curtains for the beds. The bathroom is super weirdly laid out; there is a bathroom with shower, the only toilet and a sink behind a door; then in front of that, there is another sink and a shower. WITH NO DOOR. Making this shower literally unusable. There are two light switches in the bathroom, one that turns on the light in the back bathroom (behind the door) AND a light for the front sink. This means that, if people are sleeping in the bed next to the bathroom, there is literally light shining directly on their face and all the sounds. A problem easily solved by adding a door and curtains on the beds. The bathrooms didn’t have hand soap (they were empty) or any shower amenities (no shower gel). You have to pay if you want a towel, and you also have to make your own bed. There is also a lot of noise from the neighbours, what seems like a student accommodation. At this kind of price range, the level of amenities is terribly disappointing and could be easily solved. I have stayed in hostels all over the world and sadly this one was just one of two options in Bologna, so not much choice. There are really a lot of simple improvements possible that would have made it worth it, but I really cannot say this is value for money at all.

LLulupurineThe location is excellent, right across from Bologna train station, which made travelling very convenient. Even though it is next to the station, the room I stayed in was surprisingly quiet. The cleanliness could be improved, as I did notice some hair here and there in the bathroom. Also, you do need to ask reception to turn on the room air conditioning; otherwise, it only feels like fan/wind mode. Besides that, I had a great stay and would recommend UNA Bologna for its convenient location and comfortable room.

Aaz00azureThe location is very good in the center of the old city. It is very close to the art gallery. The breakfast is good. The room is slightly smaller but quiet and comfortable. What do you want in the coffee shop restaurant milk tea shop around? It is very suitable for a day or two.

GGuest UserThe staff at the Hotel are ver nice and kind. The breakfast was good and it had different choices to pick from. Although everything was very clean and neat, the hotel had its last renovation probably in the 2000’s, and you can tell. The lobby is very sad and it gives you a weird vibe. The wallpaper on our room was loose, and the celling our bathroom was breaking. We also noticed a towel blocking some of the cold getting in in one of the emergency doors, instead of fixing it. Although we had a minibar in our from, the door was missing (on the furniture part, not the actual fridge) , the curtains and over all decoration felt VERY DATED. It has a good woodwork, it just needs an urgent upgrade!

GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay at the Astor :) the room had a funny smell, the breakfast was very uninspiring, and one could hear every noise from every corner all the time, but the room also was large and comfortable and the bathroom was good and everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful - it was a relief to stay at a place where it felt a lot like being at home. I definitely would stay again.
