Bologna Hotels with Breakfast

It's right across the street from the train station. The room was quite large. They initially gave me a twin room, but I asked to change to a double room. Although it faces a main road, it was very quiet. The service was excellent. There was no free water, and no supermarkets nearby, so I bought water at a fast-food restaurant. The breakfast was quite substantial, with a wide variety of options, and it was open for a long time. It was already open when I arrived at 7 am. After breakfast, I walked the Camino de Santiago, and then explored the old town of Bologna. A very beautiful city. Highly recommended!

We stayed here as our main hotel while travelling to other cities, and it was such a great choice. The hotel is really close to the train station, which made everything so convenient for our family. From the outside and entrance, it may not look very special at first, but once you walk inside, the atmosphere feels warm, cosy, and welcoming. The staff were all very kind and friendly, and they made us feel comfortable during our stay. The room was very clean, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent especially the shower with strong water pressure, which we really loved after a long day of travelling. The TV was big, and there was also a fridge in the room, which was very useful. Breakfast was not huge, but there was still plenty of choice and enough to enjoy a full meal every morning. Everything about this hotel felt perfect for us. We all really liked this hotel very much, and if possible, I would definitely love to stay here again in the future.

The hotel was only a 15-20-minute walk from the train station. The rooms were much bigger than expected with a comfy couch (and blankets) and TV. There was also an Alexa set up and she played music when directed and was pleasant. The kitchenette had ample utensils and cookware, but no napkins or paper towels. They supplied cold water in a pitcher as well as several bottles of wine (NOT complementary, but reasonably priced. The prices on the list in the room differed from the prices at the front desk, tho.) The complementary slippers were used every day as the tile floors were chilly. There was always enough hot water in the showers, but one bathroom light was out the whole time we were there (reported it to the front desk on the first day and they said they already knew about it, but were waiting on maintenance to fix. We had to make due without it for the six days we were there.) There were instructions on how to use each of the appliances (much appreciated!). It was a short walk to restaurants and cafes and the shopping district. Great accommodations for the price point and lots of room.

Everything was really good .. we never used public transportation, so we can’t recollect the actual distance from the metro station, but the facilities in the hotels were super good .. breakfast was vivid , bathroom was big, and the room was spacious .. we booked for one night , and we renewed for next day .. recommended for everyone

The hostel provides you with the bare necessities, such as a comfortable bed, a spacious room and locker including a lock, and a small bedlight and socket. Unfortunately, that is also literally it and nothing more. There are no curtains for the beds. The bathroom is super weirdly laid out; there is a bathroom with shower, the only toilet and a sink behind a door; then in front of that, there is another sink and a shower. WITH NO DOOR. Making this shower literally unusable. There are two light switches in the bathroom, one that turns on the light in the back bathroom (behind the door) AND a light for the front sink. This means that, if people are sleeping in the bed next to the bathroom, there is literally light shining directly on their face and all the sounds. A problem easily solved by adding a door and curtains on the beds. The bathrooms didn’t have hand soap (they were empty) or any shower amenities (no shower gel). You have to pay if you want a towel, and you also have to make your own bed. There is also a lot of noise from the neighbours, what seems like a student accommodation. At this kind of price range, the level of amenities is terribly disappointing and could be easily solved. I have stayed in hostels all over the world and sadly this one was just one of two options in Bologna, so not much choice. There are really a lot of simple improvements possible that would have made it worth it, but I really cannot say this is value for money at all.

The water was fully charged at the minibar price. It is a hotel with an old-fashioned feel. You should take into account that there is no elevator. The breakfast area was clean and had a good atmosphere! The heating was good, so it was warm even though Bologna was cold.

stayed 2 times 2nd time i got upgrade to v nice large room with walk in closet. Quality in line with NH standards, a bit far from city center and not best commute unless you drive (there's lot of parking space outside)

The staff at the Hotel are ver nice and kind. The breakfast was good and it had different choices to pick from. Although everything was very clean and neat, the hotel had its last renovation probably in the 2000’s, and you can tell. The lobby is very sad and it gives you a weird vibe. The wallpaper on our room was loose, and the celling our bathroom was breaking. We also noticed a towel blocking some of the cold getting in in one of the emergency doors, instead of fixing it. Although we had a minibar in our from, the door was missing (on the furniture part, not the actual fridge) , the curtains and over all decoration felt VERY DATED. It has a good woodwork, it just needs an urgent upgrade!

This historic hotel is at least 50 years old with lovely vintage charm. Rooms are spacious, bright and spotlessly clean. Boasting an unbeatable central location in Bologna’s old town, it is surrounded by countless restaurants, plus an amazing gelato shop right next door. The only downside is mild street noise at night until late hours. Still, the fantastic location makes it great value for money. Breakfast is average with limited choices. Bologna is a charming city full of history and local life, and I would happily stay here again on my next visit to this city！

I enjoyed my stay at the Astor :) the room had a funny smell, the breakfast was very uninspiring, and one could hear every noise from every corner all the time, but the room also was large and comfortable and the bathroom was good and everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful - it was a relief to stay at a place where it felt a lot like being at home. I definitely would stay again.
