Bologna Hotels with Parking

I was upgraded from the basic room to the suite because of my birthday, even though I didn’t as! Didn’t expect that at all, got a terrace with sun loungers that made my day even more perfect 😊 staff was also helpful with recommendations for breakfast places nearby, super happy that I chose nh hotel over mercury, will definitely stay again if I come back to Bologna 😊

We only stayed at Ostello Bello Bologna for one night, but everything was really great! The room itself was quite spacious, with a large bathroom. It was clean, and there were three sets of towels and fresh linens provided. The hotel's location was super convenient! We arrived at the train station from the airport and reached the hotel in a short amount of time. The neighborhood felt very pleasant, and even when returning late at night, we had no safety concerns whatsoever. We absolutely loved the service at the reception! The lady from Finland was incredibly friendly and communicative! Her positive attitude made an excellent first impression. We also tried the complimentary welcome cocktails, and they were super! I'd also like to mention that the hotel itself is very stylish and clean. I particularly liked the common lounge area with a terrace, where you can relax away from the city's hustle and bustle. All in all, I recommend it 100 percent – you definitely won't regret it!

The hotel is in a good location if you want to be close to Bologna central railway station and the airport. The walk to the old town isn’t so far and you pass many nice things along the way. The area is safe and I walked back to the hotel after dark along the main thoroughfare and had no issues. The room was quite small but it’s enough for one person. The staff were friendly and I was able to store my bag. The only issue I had was the lack of air conditioning. The unit was present in the room but it was impossible to turn on due to it being April. Generally it wasn’t bad but the room was particularly stuffy in the morning and evening so it wasn’t so comfortable for sleeping. I understand that it’s April and it’s considered too early to turn on the air conditioning but it’s actually turned on in the lobby for the staff. So by that logic, it should be turned on in the rooms also. After living and traveling in Asia for many years it’s disappointing to see Italian hotels being stingy with money - especially considering the guests have paid money. It’s a shame because besides this I liked the hotel and the staff. I hope the savings made by turning off the air conditioning are worth it.

The 24-hour reception is super convenient, and they let you store your luggage for free beforehand. The staff are friendly and professional. There's an elevator, and the room was quite spacious with new amenities, making for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen is huge, with plenty of utensils and counter space available. It's located in a residential area, so you have to walk a bit to find shops, but it's not too far. Overall, it was a great stay; I was satisfied with everything.

The “hotel” isn’t exactly a hotel. It’s in an apartment/residential building (1st floor from ground level - I’d call this the 2nd floor, but they would disagree here). I was a bit disappointed when I wanted to bring my bags a couple hours before check-in so I could walk around the city. Hotels are usually good about this; however, the “front desk person” for this “hotel” comes by appointment. Again, this isn’t a hotel, even though it’s advertised to be. I found out that you need to give them 48 hours notice if you plan to come by earlier (I didn’t see this information anywhere prior to check-in). Overall, the space was clean, spacious and cool (the AC was the best part). The bathroom is modern and quite nice. The noise level was a bit much, as the room faces the street. Also, I had really hoped to use the laundry services (for additional charge) as shown on the Trip.com listing but again, I was told at check-in that I needed to give 48 hours notice for this, and that it’s not something they offer anyway. The front desk person told me there is a laundry mat near by (four minute walk, make sure to have coins). I’m being completely transparent in this review, not to be a ****, but to be informative. I felt a bit misled, so please, if you have any special requests, make sure to share those with the front desk 48 HOURS BEFORE check-in. You can ring the doorbell (labeled “Casa Alessandrini”) outside the building all you want, but no one will come to let you in unless they are there. 👍

The hostel provides you with the bare necessities, such as a comfortable bed, a spacious room and locker including a lock, and a small bedlight and socket. Unfortunately, that is also literally it and nothing more. There are no curtains for the beds. The bathroom is super weirdly laid out; there is a bathroom with shower, the only toilet and a sink behind a door; then in front of that, there is another sink and a shower. WITH NO DOOR. Making this shower literally unusable. There are two light switches in the bathroom, one that turns on the light in the back bathroom (behind the door) AND a light for the front sink. This means that, if people are sleeping in the bed next to the bathroom, there is literally light shining directly on their face and all the sounds. A problem easily solved by adding a door and curtains on the beds. The bathrooms didn’t have hand soap (they were empty) or any shower amenities (no shower gel). You have to pay if you want a towel, and you also have to make your own bed. There is also a lot of noise from the neighbours, what seems like a student accommodation. At this kind of price range, the level of amenities is terribly disappointing and could be easily solved. I have stayed in hostels all over the world and sadly this one was just one of two options in Bologna, so not much choice. There are really a lot of simple improvements possible that would have made it worth it, but I really cannot say this is value for money at all.

The room's location is excellent; right outside the hotel is the train station, which is perfect for exploring around Bologna. It might be a bit far from the city center, though. The overnight tax was incredibly expensive, 23.2 euros for two people.

stayed 2 times 2nd time i got upgrade to v nice large room with walk in closet. Quality in line with NH standards, a bit far from city center and not best commute unless you drive (there's lot of parking space outside)

The water was fully charged at the minibar price. It is a hotel with an old-fashioned feel. You should take into account that there is no elevator. The breakfast area was clean and had a good atmosphere! The heating was good, so it was warm even though Bologna was cold.

I enjoyed my stay at the Astor :) the room had a funny smell, the breakfast was very uninspiring, and one could hear every noise from every corner all the time, but the room also was large and comfortable and the bathroom was good and everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful - it was a relief to stay at a place where it felt a lot like being at home. I definitely would stay again.
