Matsue Hotels with Breakfast

The hotel is located near Matsue station. The front desk agents were very polite and did their best to talk to me, despite my very broken Japanese. Guests are given a locker, protected by a keycard. The locker itself was good enough for me, who took only a conventional backpack and a pair of shoes, but might not be enough for those who are not traveling light like that. The bathrooms were shared and quite clean, fully furnished with amenities for showers and personal hygiene. WiFi was included and it was quite decent for general use, even when inside the shared bedroom. The bed capsule had a pillow and a blanket, lights and power outlets for phones. I had more space than I imagined, enough for me to sit on the bed. The only downside of this room type was air circulation, probably due to the hot climate that's been the standard here in Japan lately, but I think the fans could work more efficiently or the capsules could use an AC outlet. Other than that, I recommend this location and will certainly stay with them again.

I checked in in the evening, but due to construction work on the parking lot, I was redirected to a different lot. I looked at the map at the front desk, but it was in a place I couldn't find without being told. One man at the front desk that night was awful, but the other man just ignored me and simply handled the paperwork. It was a terrible night. I was disappointed that even Kyoritsu had employees like that.

古い旅館を個人客用にリニューアルした感じです。建物は古いかもしれないけど内装は綺麗です。 シングル個室はベッドだけで超狭いです。まあ寝転がって携帯見る分には問題ないですが。個室なんだけど、隣室のイビキはもちろんカバンを開ける音とか全部丸聞こえです。イヤホンがあった方が良いかもしれません。 でも、内湯もあるし立地は良いし値段を考えれば充分に満足です。

Fortunately, there's a Times Hotel nearby offering unlimited overnight parking for 700 yen. The hotel is a bit old, and the elevators are a bit difficult to reach.

One of the most comfortable mid-range hotels I have ever stayed in after at least 80 nights in hotels in Japan. And the extensive breakfast buffet is the best I have ever had.

The room is large. The hot spring is good, but the water temperature is not too hot enough. Free parking, keep key at the front desk. Breakfast is generally the same, Japanese and Western styles have D, but there are no expectations.

The hotel staff are very polite and will introduce tourist attractions in Songjiang. The hotel facilities need to be improved and the carpet needs to be updated. The breakfast is acceptable, including fried eggs with herring, etc.
