Very cozy and clean hotel in a quiet neighborhood not far from the city center. The staff is really friendly and helpful. A very descent continental breakfast is served in the mornings. Transfer from and to airport is available and the drivers are really polite and punctual.

An excellent super clean, boutique hotel near Bucharest center, just a pleasant 20-25 minute walk for main sightseeings. Personnel very friendly and willing to provide any information. Provides a descent breakfast at very low price.

Thanks to you all for being so amazing. My stay here was absolutely brilliant, everything was nice and simple. And merci to Flori for her delicious omelettes 😋 I will definitely come back here on my trip to Romania. Thanks again to you all !!!

I stayed here for 9 days and I can definitely tell you that this is a great hotel in a very good location. Old town is only 15-20 min walk. Train station is about 10-15 min walk. Lot of restaurants, convenience stores etc nearby. And if you are a tourist, most of the tours would pick you up from a location that is 15 min walk from the hotel. So the location is great. Staff are very friendly. They do serve breakfast with cold items, bread, juice, coffee and will also make omelette as needed. The lady who handles breakfast and makes omelette is very friendly. Room is very comfortable. Has the usual amenities. Has a mini safe as well. Has a fridge full of drinks and snacks that you can buy. They also will arrange airport pickup if you need. The one inconvenience I mentioned is they don’t have an elevator. So you have to carry your luggage by stairs. If you can overcome that, this place is a great bargain. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently-located for the main sights of Bucharest, but is in a quiet neighborhood of embassies and a nearby attractive park. About 10mins walk to nearest metro station (Piatta Romana). Room was lovely - spacious, good quality fixtures, large comfy bed and good shower. Although it faced the busy-ish road, good double-glazing made it quiet. Could have done with a couple more sockets, and the corners of the bed were a bit lethal on your toes if you didn't take care! Breakfast was excellent, especially compared to others in Romania - muesli, proper juice, fruit, croissants, and really nice cooked-on-demand omelettes, as well as usual continental staples. Staff were very welcoming, and helped us figure out the notices on the metro! Thank you for very pleasant stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is half an hour from the airport. And about a 20 minute walk from the old city. This is a family run hotel and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was on the top floor there are a few steps if you are not good on your feet no lift. The room was clean, air conditioning, kettle, toiletries provided. ( we were given so milk to make our tea with, no trouble at all) there is a fridge in the room with small minibar. Good bed and pillows. Breakfast is served in a small room downstairs, omletts were offered ( seams to be a Romanian breakfast) also a continental buffet was laid out, simple but everything you needed. We would return and would recommend

Accommodation in a very charming, well-preserved building. The room was very good, although somewhat small. Breakfast is good, they prepare eggs for you on the spot. In general, a good place and very quiet, after checking out I was able to leave my suitcase without problems until the time of the return flight. The room was a bit small, and the refrigerator was quite noisy, but in general, a good place.

I didn't have high expectations but I was pleasantly satisfied. The staff was very kind and waited for us to check in even though we arrived close to closing time. Good welcome also in Italian by the owner. Very nice room and excellent breakfast with freshly made omelette. Location close enough (15 min) to reach the city center.

A small treasure chest a few steps from the historic center. POSITION: very good, you can reach the center of Lipscani in about 15 minutes on foot, the area is well stocked with bars and groceries where you can purchase essential products 24 hours a day (water, crackers, etc...). I recommend the Q-Pub and Londonhome for a drink at the end of the evening or after returning from the day. I had no problem coming home late at night. BREAKFAST: purely savory, typically Romanian: cold cuts, cheeses, olives, bread, etc... there is also a small selection of desserts and yogurt. On request they will make you an omelette/omelette at the moment. Simple, with quality products. CLEANING/COMMON AREAS: the structure is clean and well maintained, cleaning is carried out periodically and I have not found any shortcomings in this regard. It is a boutique hotel, therefore very intimate as a place. STAFF: very kind and available to meet needs, promoted with full marks. ROOM: I stayed in a superior room, the room is not huge but has all the required services, surprisingly room 104 has a lovely terrace, ideal for relaxing in the evening or smoking a cigarette. Good mattress and choice of pillows. I would like to recommend this property for a stay in Bucharest. There are no particular defects, perhaps the room was a little dated in some respects, but nothing special.

The first time I was in Bucharest was in 2005, in an apartment on Bl. Balcescu and told me not to go into the internal area of the neighborhood (where the Hotel Monaco is located) as it could be dangerous. In fact, at that time, in this neighborhood there were many homeless people, many children living on the streets and many ugly faces. I never would have thought that 20 years later the neighborhood would have completely changed. A clean, very quiet area, away from noise and traffic although no more than 10 minutes walk from Piata Universitatii. The Hotel Monaco is therefore in a quiet area, a villa used as a hotel, very intimate and very discreet. A small reception and a small but well furnished breakfast room. The omelette prepared by the waitress was excellent, freeze-dried coffee made with a machine from a Milanese company as is usual in Romania. The room was beautiful, always clean like the common areas. Very kind and helpful staff. After 9pm there is no longer anyone at the reception (you can open the front door and the main door at any time with the magnetic card that opens the room) and in any case there are no problems or additional fees for inviting guests into the room at any time. What I had been told over the phone before making the reservation was confirmed to me. The only details are the bathroom, clean and well furnished but a little small, the toilet is attached to the wall and when you sit you always have to stand at an angle. The TV works great but only has 30 channels and none Italian or English. Apart from a few Hungarian channels, the only foreign channel you see is TV5 Monde. Given the many Italians in Bucharest, at least one Rai1 would not have gone out of tune. Another "discord", after I left to go to the airport (the transfer was very convenient, organized by the Hotel for only 20 euros both for the outward and return journey), the receptionist called me, a very kind gentleman, and tells me I didn't pay for a redbull and two cans of coke from the mini-bar. As is usual in all hotels, the evening before leaving I asked my colleague if I had anything left to pay, his colleague presented me with a bill which I then duly paid. The receptionist tells me that there had been a misunderstanding between him and his colleague and that his colleague had not put 1 can of Red Bull and two cans of Coca Cola on that bill. The receptionist, who at least agreed with me that I hadn't done anything wrong, given that I was the one who asked his colleague if there was anything left to pay, told me that if I thought so I could leave it to the The driver who was taking me to the airport was the equivalent of a can of Red Bull and two cans of Cola Cola. I said I didn't think I should pay anything. In fact, I recommended to the receptionist that if only he tried to deduct the equivalent of the three cans from my credit card (with the exchange
