Hotels Near Plaza de la Constitucion in Buenos Aires

This hotel is advertised on many websites as a 4 star hotel with very high satisfaction rate. But don’t be fooled by beautiful entrance. Once you get into the elevator everything disappears and you are welcomed into the rooms that resembles of a hostel. The rooms are terribly small. But that is not what is bad. The rooms are extremely dirty. Grime is everywhere: bathtub, faucet’s, toilets…Just look at the pictures! But here is where it gets worse. On my son’s duvet, there is an old blood stain. I had to put 3 boys in one bed even though we booked a triple room. My pillow case wasn’t changed. It was dirty and there was somebody else’s hair on it. I immediately went to the front desk to ask for a clean pillow case. And even though staff speaks very little English (or in some cases no English at all) this is a conversation we had using google translate: - Hi, there is a dirty pillowcase on my pillow. Can I please get a fresh one? - No, I am sorry, the housekeeping is finished for the day (it was midnight). - That’s fine, I can change it myself but can you please give me a clean pillowcase? - I am sorry I can’t leave the front desk I am by myself. You have to wait until tomorrow morning. - And how am I going to sleep on a dirty pillow? - I am sorry there is nothing I can do until tomorrow morning. He finally told me to wait for a second and he will see what he can do after I asked him if he would sleep on a dirty pillow if it was him. 15 mins later he took me to a linens’ room where there was no pillowcases. I took one clean sheet and said I would wrap the pillow with it. If you can please avoid this place at all costs. You’ll pay premium price $150/night for a hostel experience. Unfortunately we booked 2 rooms for 5 nights and they won’t refund us, even though we wanted to leave immediately after getting into the rooms. Rooms are advertised with balconies, this one has none. Just dirty windows. I can stomach lots of things but sleeping on a dirty bed and in a dirty room- I cannot.

Considering the expectations that I have for the Ibis brand (an entry/economy level hotel), my experience was great. The check-in process in the front desk was a differential. I was tired and had a few bags, but the person of the staff that received me was really quick and smart. I didn’t write her name down, but she really deserves the compliment! That day, one of the two elevators wasn’t working, but overall infrastructure of the hotel is good and the space of the room that I had was nice. I would return to this hotel, for sure.

First I'd like to say that the young man who assisted me when I arrived late at night at Up Tribeca was entirely professional and courteous with me, even though I checked out almost immediately after checking in. So: I initially booked three nights at Up Tribeca because the reviews for the hotel were all positive; however, the hotel ”ambience” is entirely artificial and - to put bluntly - weird. All the rooms are centered around an open-air courtyard (btw, that courtyard is the only fresh air in the hotel), and because I checked-in late at night, I had a very hard time trying to find my room number while walking the hallway along the courtyard, as it was lit by a few neon lights that (I guess) gave off a cool vibe, but no actual light. Because it was so dark, I mistook the wrong room for mine and kept trying to open the door with my card, until I noticed (again, hard to see with no light!) the ”do not disturb” sign on the door handle (sorry to whomever might have woken up to me trying to open their door.) I then continued down the dark hallway to my correct room, and when I opened the door, I was greeted to a completely windowless box of a room that reeked of synthetic air-freshener, making it smell like I just walked into a Zara Home Furnishing store. The smell was suffocating, and of course there was no way to open a window to get rid of it because no window existed. If you've ever watched the Apple Tv show ”Severance,” then you'll get the kind of atmosphere this room had: it felt completely claustrophobic and dystopic. I didn't spend more than thirty seconds in that room before I grabbed my suitcase and went down to the front desk, requesting a different room that had a window, only to be informed none of the rooms have windows. At that point, I asked him to call me a taxi, and I left for another hotel. To sum up: if you don't care that you're staying in a windowless box that smells like a home furnishing store in the local mall, you'll be fine at Up Tribeca. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend you book elsewhere.

Clean and well presented hotel in a great location on Av Corrientes. The street comes alive at night with buskers, dancers & small market stalls. The hotel is safe & staff were very helpful. Only (minor) negative was that yhe rooms don’t have kettles so you need to walk down to level 1 to get hot water (bit odd). But it’s a good hotel and worth a visit.

Great place and great service with great amenities. I can only recommend the Grand View Hotel and the pricing is great too 😊👍🏻🇦🇷 also one gets pretty short notice quick booking confirmation - if you are to early for checkin - you get free luggage storage while you wait for 2 PM until you can move into your room.

Nice experience. Rooms and breakfast very good. Perfect location. Add to price Contras: very yyyyyy noisy night. Very old wedding bed. It would improve these two reviews to qualify as excellent

I've been staying at Air B& B's since 2017, being La Habana; Cuba my first experience ever so Trip Advisor (finally) is great to see I can now review Air BB's and by the way just a ”constructive” criticism more ”categories” should be added: trains, airlines etc. (just saying). Here we go: As a native Argentinean I go home at least once a year to visit my family, obvioulsy 90 % of the time to & from Buenos Aires, not I'm not from B.A. (Buenos Aires) but I either fly to or from to continue my trip to my hometown. My last time there I stayed at Top Rentals Buenos Aires, my very first time using this company and I must say I was really impressed ! The property is located on Esmeralda Street so centrally located is within walking distance pretty much anywhere downtown, super safe, always be mindful of your surroundings like everywhere else and do please ( can't type all caps) but NO flashy jewelry or nothing fancy while on the streets. The check in process is located in one of the upper floors of the Building Complex, but upon arrival the security officer at the lobby will give you specific instructions where to go. Rooms are so spacious, clean, beautiful views of the area and a small balcony to sip your malbecs, with the River Plate on the background. The staff is super attentive, apartments comes with toiletries, towels, and utensils for cooking, but really ?? You are in The Paris of South America so who will want to cook ? I couldn’t use the pool too cold for me. I highly recommend it you won't regret it, so good this place is that with my luck!!! One of the South American Presidents (don't know whom) decided to stay in that same building at the time of my visit, no wonder why there were so many police and security so if this place is good enough for a president of country I'm guessing is good enough for us to!! We stay at the Waldorf Hotel for 7 days from 04 to 11 July.The location is excellent!!! Near the Florida Street, Pacific Gallery and a famous cafeteria called Florida Garden. My room was in the fifth floor, compact, but everything was clean and well-organised, good and comfortable bed, my mother's room was larger, in the nineth floor, well spacious. The only negative criticism we have from the hotel is the quality of the coated coffee that is served. Maybe an express coffee machine would solve this issue, after all the day only starts after a good coffee! ☕️ Stop the tip! ☕️

We stayed for 1 night around 2 weeks ago before our cruise. We were pleasantly surprised how nice it was and the front desk host, Daniel, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived at the hotel late morning after a long flight from the US. We were relieved that our room was ready. We were starving and Daniel recommended a restaurant near the hotel that was excellent and affordable. Our room was on the top floor with a great view of the plaza. It was in a great location and we walked all over and saw landmarks like the Obelisk and Teatro Colon. The room was comfortable and had a mini fridge and sofa. The breakfast was very good. Highly recommend this hotel and it was very good value.

Babel Alto is exceptional value for money . The room was spacious and very modern & clean. Staff were prompt with their replies on What’s App for late at night checkin & organised a taxi for my pickup from airport . Location is good. I’ve visited Palermo often & wish I had stayed here in the past. A very nice apt. Definitely would stay again.
