"Comfortable room. Clean. Little out of town.
Service good. Food good. Staff very friendly and helpful.
When booked bill stated price was £89:25 including VAT
However card charged £105 receptionist was very helpful when this was pointed out the following morning and agreed to make enquiries on my behalf and get back to me. I have yet to hear from company to discuss the reason for the overpayment. But guessing this may take a couple of days."

"Mixed Experience – Some Great Aspects but Room for Improvement
We recently stayed at the Novotel Cambridge North and had a mixed experience. The hotel has a lot going for it—modern facilities, a good location just north of the city centre, and excellent breakfast options that really stood out. The pool area is great for kids, and the sauna and jacuzzi were enjoyable touches that added value to our stay.
However, there were a few letdowns. While staff were generally friendly, some follow-through was lacking—for example, we requested dressing gowns and slippers, and refills of the shower gel and shampoo which were promised but never delivered.
The hotel uses a strange single-use key card system for the leisure facilities, which caused repeated issues. Cards were frequently deactivated, leaving guests locked out of the pool and gym areas. We often had to rely on others to let us in, or vice versa, which became frustrating.
Also worth noting: there is no on-site parking available, which should be clearly stated in advance for future guests.
Overall, the hotel offers decent value for money, especially for families, and the convenient public transport links (bus and train) make it easy to get into the city. With some improvements in service and clearer communication, this could be an excellent place to stay"

"The hotel is located at Cambridge Railway Station. It takes less than a minute to get to the hotel after getting off the train station. If you want to take a taxi, you can go directly back to the train station and call the taxi waiting there. It is very convenient! The location is very good and the hotel is very newly decorated! The ingredients provided for breakfast are very fresh, but I feel that the cooking method still needs to be improved. Overall, the convenience is very high. I personally think it is one of the most comfortable hotels in Cambridge!"

Ppeter nutbrownThis accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away.
The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.
LLeeRoom is small and little bit old fashion style, this hotel is a historical hotel so it doesn’t affect it’s beauty. The room with Park view that awesome, pay 333 pounds per night is ok for the value!!
breakfast is good and the hotel is in the town center so it’s very easier to get whatever you want, don’t stay at the hotel near the railway station because it’s still has a distance to the city center!! hotel allowed free bicycle renting service, that’s so nice!!
GGuest UserUmm.... everything is on average. However, for the 4 bedrooms I booked, seems a bit small and not very enough space to open a few large suitcases at the same time, or if so, cannot walk around. But actually, we should accept it because hostel is like that for true.
GGuest UserMy husband and I enjoyed our stay. The jacuzzi was lovely and the sauna + pool too. Breakfast was good and hot. Large rooms and friendly staff. Would stay again.
DDaryl (Teo)Kalpana and Habiba are really helpful and made my stay so good! This was actually the 3rd time I have stayed at Hotel du Vin and every single time the both of them showed great knowledge of the hotel, facilities and even the city!
Strongly recommend the hotel and the service staff!!

Very Good
AANNBreakfast is average, it is normal, nothing special. The room is too small, and it is rare to live in such a small room at this price. There is a chair in the room, and it is necessary to find a waiter to give another chair. From the picture posted on the door, we stayed in the smallest room in the whole hotel. Really unhappy.
