"This was the worst hotel stay I've ever had, and the hotel's handling of the situation was utterly disappointing. Upon check-in, the front desk asked if we wanted housekeeping, and we explicitly declined. However, when we returned to our room the next day, it was clear that housekeeping had entered and tidied up. I discovered that a pair of disposable underwear I had left in the room, and more critically, my eye drops for a chronic eye condition, were missing. With the eye drops gone, I had no medication that night, which led to immense pain and suffering. We immediately complained to the front desk, hoping to recover the medication or get an explanation. The hotel said they would speak with the cleaning staff, but the final response was a denial that they had discarded my eye drops. What disappointed us most was that while we waited for a resolution, a staff member said they would go investigate, but no one ever followed up or responded to us again, even until our check-out. I can understand items being lost, but what I find unacceptable is the hotel's attitude in handling the problem. They refused to admit fault, disregarded a guest's suffering, and didn't even provide basic respect or a follow-up response. This behavior is far more disheartening than the loss of the items themselves. I urge everyone to choose this hotel with extreme caution."

"The room at Cambridge Varsity is on the smaller side and shows a bit of age (a little dusty in spots, which is pretty standard for a European boutique hotel in this price range). However, the location is absolutely excellent for exploring the city. What really blew me away, though, were the unexpected highlights. The hotel restaurant on the 6th floor and the rooftop bar are absolute gems—the food was delicious, and the panoramic views over Cambridge are simply breathtaking. But the true hero of our stay was the staff, particularly Dave. He went above and beyond to help my pre-teen son fix up one of the hotel bikes so he could ride it to the bike park. That small gesture turned into the absolute highlight of our trip for him. If you’re okay with a cozy room in exchange for incredible service, a stunning rooftop, and a prime location, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!"
