4-Star Hotels in Cambridge

This accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.

Great stay, very cozy. The pub serves nice food and we had some drinks by the fire. Will return.

This is also a very good hotel. The front desk service was excellent. Initially, there was an issue with the air conditioning in my room – it couldn't be manually adjusted. I informed the front desk, and they immediately moved me to a new room. The AC in the new room worked perfectly, making my stay very comfortable. Thumbs up for the service! The breakfast was good. My favorite dishes were replenished constantly, and the fish was delicious. The coffee was also nice. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable.

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The air conditioning was not working, the paint in the room was peeling, and there was visible rust on the door hinges, which made the space feel poorly maintained. The most frustrating issue was the smoke detector going off with false alarms several times, including in the early morning. When I tried calling the front desk for assistance, no one answered, which added to the inconvenience. Overall, this experience did not meet the standard I expect from Holiday Inn. I hope the management takes steps to address these maintenance and service issues for future guests.

Good stay. The pool area is quite small and not the cleanest so wouldn’t give it 5 star. Handy that the lockers were free and free towels provided. Would’ve liked a dressing gown. Room service was quick, hot, and tasty. Customer service was lovely but quite slow on reception. I would definitely stay again!

The prime location is the most appealing about this hotel. The room was comfortable and contained all the necessities required. Pleasant stay. Unfortunately on a Saturday at 7am there was an accidental fire alarm but non of the reception staff seemed to know how to inform guests that it was an ‘accident’ so many guests were left wondering where to go and if it was real and it caused a lot of confusion.

The location of the hotel is invincible, walking directly to the major attractions in Cambridge. Opposite is SAVER and SANSBURY supermarket, very convenient, there are many restaurants around. There is a microwave refrigerator in the room, simple tableware, takeaway can be heated back, praise. The hotel's exclusive glass vaulted garden restaurant is great. The service attitude is very good, and the problems are solved in time, especially CHRIS, patiently solve the problem, thank you very much. The only unhappy thing is that Trip.com did not communicate well with the hotel. Trip.com received my hotel payment, the hotel also received it, and the two-way charge. I have to make a cross-ocean phone call for a long time, and it has not been solved yet. This kind of thing has been done twice, and the management and problem handling ability of Trip.com is very disappointing. Problems, arrogant and perfunctory.

Breakfast is average, it is normal, nothing special. The room is too small, and it is rare to live in such a small room at this price. There is a chair in the room, and it is necessary to find a waiter to give another chair. From the picture posted on the door, we stayed in the smallest room in the whole hotel. Really unhappy.

Kalpana and Habiba are really helpful and made my stay so good! This was actually the 3rd time I have stayed at Hotel du Vin and every single time the both of them showed great knowledge of the hotel, facilities and even the city! Strongly recommend the hotel and the service staff!! Daryl
