Cambridge Hotels with Parking

This accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.

A dream hotel! This was my absolute favorite hotel during my UK trip, bar none. The rooms are exquisite. We booked two rooms this time, a loft suite and a king room. The price difference wasn't huge, but the suite was incredible – it had a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom, it was fantastic. The air conditioning worked great, and the breakfast was delicious. It's about 1km from Cambridge University, easily accessible. There are temporary parking spots out front, and overnight parking in the basement, so no worries there. Two points for domestic travelers to note: 1. The EV charging station app in the basement cannot be downloaded or used by iPhones in mainland China or Hong Kong. Friends with electric cars should be aware of this. 2. The immediate area isn't particularly safe. When I went to the supermarket, I noticed that the people around seemed a bit questionable, especially if you go further north. For those concerned about safety, just avoid wandering around the area at night. The hotel itself is excellent and meets most needs.

This is also a very good hotel. The front desk service was excellent. Initially, there was an issue with the air conditioning in my room – it couldn't be manually adjusted. I informed the front desk, and they immediately moved me to a new room. The AC in the new room worked perfectly, making my stay very comfortable. Thumbs up for the service! The breakfast was good. My favorite dishes were replenished constantly, and the fish was delicious. The coffee was also nice. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable.

On the second day, I went to the reception and explained the situation regarding how his colleague had handled my booking. The receptionist was understanding and informed me that I could simply move from one room to another without having to check out and wait to be checked into a new room. This made the process much smoother and highlighted that the inconvenience I experienced the previous day could have been avoided with clearer communication.

The hotel was nice and clean feel £10 to park the car was a bit high, the staff was friendly but would not say the most helpful. did have a issue with another couple staying there they damaged my car by slamming there car door into mine I was sitting in the bar area and watched them do it the staff did nothing about this which is bad when they charge that for u to park ur car

The Ashley Hotel is conveniently located north of the city center, very close to Cambridge University, making it easy to get around. It boasts pleasant surroundings, a full range of well-maintained facilities, and excellent service. Overall, it offers great value for money.

Breakfast is average, it is normal, nothing special. The room is too small, and it is rare to live in such a small room at this price. There is a chair in the room, and it is necessary to find a waiter to give another chair. From the picture posted on the door, we stayed in the smallest room in the whole hotel. Really unhappy.

While the hotel itself and rooms are fine. You have to pay extra for parking which is clearly just for capitalist gains as it’s on property. They advertise a pool (one of the main reasons we picked the hotel), which we were told on arrival has been closed for years, yet no thought to advertise this online was thought of? No instead they keep a picture of said swimming pool online when it would be a simple manner of taking one picture down to stop disappointment. They keep it up to attract visitors unfortunately. The water in the room for shower and bath simply did not go hot, but rather a low lukewarm. Breakfast also cost £15 which we opted not to do due to competition prices being so much lower for the same thing. Ultimately, it was a disappointing stay mainly due to their misinformation than the room itself.

The staff absolutely brilliant! The hotel full of characters, the design and layout are fantastic. Certainly I love it. The room I had is at the top floor ( kind of loft ) as I booked only for one person myself. It’s gorgeous when the front and back windows open, the breeze was amazing especially when the temperature was 38 degree in a no air conditioning hotel. One view through the window is River Cam and Jesus Green. Also steps away from my daughter’s college accommodation. It’s the reason why I chose to stay here.  Only thing is that no lift  and no air conditioning for the whole of hotel, if you come here for summer, better to check weather first if you can bare the heat , and whether you are heavy travellers, I mean if you need lift up down the room with your luggages or personal health conditions. I m not heavy traveller myself this time, but my daughter was moving her uni stuff to a new accommodation, we had to move some of her stuff into the hotel room first , then later moving into her new accommodation after certain checking in time by college policy, so we were very struggling to carry the large suitcases up and down . Saying this, we d like to thank the staff from reception who offered to carry two large suitcases up to my room at the top floor when the temperature was 38 degree. As I was kind of in a shock about no air conditioning in a hotel for such high temperature and forgot to leave him a tip. I d love to do so if I visit again and see him.  Anyway thanks the hotel and  the staff very much for having me there few days. A very special thanks to the guy at the reception who helped us to get our two large luggages to my room. You are absolutely an amazing example to present your hotel. The way you treating your customers is very professional, thoughtful, kind and appreciated. Thank you.

There was a polish lady at the reception - she was AMAZING! EXTREMELY helpful, friendly, professional. I have stayed in many hotels, also international and 5 star - and she is TOP! One of hte best receptionist I have ever come across. The others were so-so, sometimes unfriendly or not organized, but she made up for all their failures and was EXCEPTIONAL. The door to my room was faulty - so the cleaners never managed to go inside and clean my room while I stayed there for 3 nights, and not all cards worked - so cleaners jsut did not bother to go inside- which was disappointing. Also, the soap dispensers do not work well - very hard to get any soap out. - needs fixing properly.
