Lombard House

Where to start, this is probably the worst hotel I have ever slept in. The mattress was beyond belief. The minute you lay down on it you could feel every spring poking into you. Pillows were almost non existent providing no level of support to you head or neck. The blinds were broken and wouldn't raise. There was no hanging space for clothes, in fact zero storage. A little tiny mirror on the wall, virtually no natural light entering the room. The continental breakfast was non existent. Badly lit internal staircase, looked and felt like a flop house for students who wouldn't be too fussy where they stayed. The shower was at least hot, which is a good job as there was no room to move in the cubicle. There appears to be zero staff . The window that overlooked the back alleyway which was covered in scaffolding were filthy. This was in effect a bare room with a really cheap and nasty mattress. Avoid at all cost

Absolutely appalling hotel and appalling management, not fit for purpose. We rang to complain and were told we would get a refund right away, they lied, still not got a refund. Not one good word to say about the place. No bulbs in the lights, when we ran the taps it sounded like water was going to come gushing out the wall (there was a leak and the carpets and walls were wet). The wardrobes were still plaster, no hanging rail. The bed was the worst ive ever slept in, you could feel every slat under the 5cm deep mattress. There was dirty bags of washing in the kitchen and they just smelt of damp and rot. It took us ages to get into the hotel front door then ever longer to get into the room. I cant understand why *********** are still selling it.
